The United Nationals Democratic Alliance (UNDA) is an international organisation that aims to embody the Theory of Universal Humanness, which was formed and crystallized by Dr- Rifaat Al-Assad, Chairman of the founding board of the United Nationals Democratic Alliance. A number of statements relating to this theory are analysed in his book, Towards a Renewal of a Universal Ideology.
The United Nationals Democratic Alliance hopes to provide a framework in which the values of Justice, Peace and Freedom are played out. It seeks to create an arena in which there is no discrimination between nations, race or religion, thereby encompassing all of humankind. This is grounded in the belief that all are individuals and peoples are unique and precious and bear their own specific traits. This must be celebrated within a consciousness of global unity and coexistence which has at its core the trinity of Justice, Peace and Freedom which exist as an undivided unity; one cannot exist without the other two.
By adopting the Theory of Universal Humanness, the United Nationals Democratic Alliance exemplifies an intellectual and cultural revolution towards the renewal of a universal ideology. This is the primary aim of this organisation. It opposes all types of fanaticism, chauvinism and extremism. It believes in the development of a democratic political ideology that rejects inflexibility, dogmatism and segregation which lead to individualism and dwarfed and disconnected thought and expression.
Thus, the United Nationals Democratic Alliance provides a framework to integrate national movements and facilitate their cooperation at regional and international levels. This creates a platform for regional and international co-operation on the basis of Justice, Peace and Freedom. This will then form the springboard for innovation and progression in all fields.
The United Nationals Democratic Alliance embodies a new concept for the co-existence of human cultures and their unification and integration to re-shape the identity of different countries and nations towards belief in Justice, Peace and Freedom.
The United Nationals Democratic Alliance is also an international educational project intending to ground future generations in the principles of equality, togetherness and wholeness that are intertwined due to their foundations of Justice, Peace and Freedom. Thus, it is a new intellectual school of culture and education which is established on the values of Justice, Peace and Freedom, to ensure the peaceful transition from one era to another. This will take us out of the wreckage of past ideologies and the resulting culture of nihilism and chaos in which unprincipled disparity and dispute exists among and between nations. This threatens peace, undermines security and has transformed the world into a scene of conflict and existential negation that could persist for generations and centuries.
التّجمع القومي الديمقراطي الموحّد هو إطار تنظيمي دولي يهدف إلى تفعيل نظرية الآدميّة القوميّة التي بلورها وصاغها الرئيس المؤسّس الدّكتور “رفعت الأسد”٬ رئيس المجلس التأسيسي للتجمّع القومي الديمقراطي الموحّد، والتي تمّ تحليل عدد من المقولات المرتبطة بها في كتابه “نحو تجديد الفكر القومي” .
التّجمع القومي الديمقراطي الموحّد إطار لتجسيد قيم العدل والسلام والحريّة٬ ثالوثا واحداً متلازم الأسس موحّد الأركان لا تمييز فيه حسب القوميّات أو الأعراق أو الأديان، ويضم كافة مكونات الجنس البشري. يستند ذلك إلى الإيمان العميق بأن كافة البشر ذوو أهمية قصوى تستبطن خصائصهم الفريدة، وتنظر إلى جميع مكوّنات المجتمع البشري بإعتبارها من خلق الله حيث العدل -السّلام – الحرية٬ وحدة وجوديـّة لا انفصام لها.
بإعتماده نظرية الآدميّة القوميّة فإن التّجمع القومي الديمقراطي الموحّد يمثل ثورة فكريّة ثقافيّة في تجديد الفكر الإنساني، وهذا هو الهدف المنشود من إنشاء التجمع، حيث تناهض كل أشكال التعصّب والشوفينية، وتتوسل تنمية الفكر السّياسي الديمقراطي بعيداً عن كل أشكال الجمود والشّمولية والاختزال ونزعات التفكير الفردانية القائمة على الإقصاء والإلغاء.
لذا، فإن التّجمع القومي الديمقراطي الموحّد يشكّل إطارا لمساكنة وتفاعل الحركات القومية على مختلف الأصعدة اﻹقليمية والدولية، وهو أيضا ساحة رحبة للتعاون اﻹقليمي والدّولي على قاعدة مبادىء العدل -السّلام – الحريّة٬ لكل مكوناتها بإعتبارها قاعدة للإبداع والرقي في مختلف المجالات .
يجسّد التّجمع القومي الديمقراطي الموحّد مفاهيم جديدة لتعايش الثقافات الإنسانية وترابطها وتكاملها في عملية إعادة تشكيل هوية لمختلف الأمم والشّعوب المؤمنة بالعدل -السّـلام – الحريّة.
التّجمع القومي الديمقراطي الموحّد مشروع تربوي عالمي يهدف إلى تكوين أجيال مستقبلية تتمثّل قيم المساواة والأخوّة والتساكن على قاعدة أركان متلازمة العدل والسّلام والحريّة٬ حيث هو مدرسة فكرية جديدة للتربية والتثقيف أُنشأت على قيم العدل و السّلام والحريّة لتأمين الانتقال السّلمي من عهد الى آخر، ومن مرحلة تاريخية الى أخرى على أنقاض فكر وثقافة العدمية والفوضى الذي دق إسفين الفرقة والتنازع اللاّمبدئي بين الأمم والشّعوب، فهدّد اﻹستقرار وقوّض الأمن وحوّل العالم إلى ساحات للتناحر والإلغاء الوجودي عبر الأجيال والقرون.

Statement by Deputy Press Secretary Speakes on the Release of David Dodge in Beirut, Lebanon July 21, 1983 The President was informed this morning that David Dodge, who was kidnaped last July 19 from the campus of the American University of Beirut, where he was serving as acting president, has been released. The Government of the United States is grateful to Syrian President Hafiz al-Assad and to Dr. Rifaat al-Assad for the humanitarian efforts they undertook which led to Mr.... Dodge's release. The President is deeply gratified by Mr. Dodge's release and has directed that a U.S. military aircraft be put at Mr. Dodge's disposal for his return to the United States. We are a people which is expanding, and a tyrannical and fierce wolf is tearing it apart; it is being ruled with oppression and subjugation. Ignorance is spreading in these people and the maze of knowledge is vast. As we are only human, this is causing us to despair and be afraid of the unknown which then exemplifies the collective fate. This calls for an urgent response to prepare ourselves to enter into a battle for destiny in the dual dimensions of that which exists and that which does not, equipped with the capabilities of the people, in a dynamic freedom to realise this ultimate destiny which is absolute.

The collective energy and spirit is now fading and disintegrating in terms of its practical outworking in the ultimate realm of goodness and prosperity. This all embodies an unlawful rule from among the people. This is the current governing power. This disconnected power not only threatens one country, but the entire world. This is because it proceeds rashly and haphazardly. This leads it to aggression behind which it hides while hurting those around it in the process.
the lack of a constructive relationship is not a cause of fundamental discrepancies between both, but a problem of the particular approaches taken, which have deviated Islam towards a closed dogmatism destined to stagnation, “finally ending in a putrid pool… of Jihadi Salafism.” In other words, “the contradiction is not so much between nationalism and Islam as between nationalism and those who strip Islam of its essence.” Stagnation in Islam means the same for the Arab nation and vice versa. Both should encompass deep notions of justice and peace when correct approaches are taken.
