This is one of those things you must do at least once when in London and had the most expensive lifts Anywhere to get to the top though these lifts are spectacular and a visual experience you wonโ€™t forget in a hurry. Once you step into the viewing floors, there are a few floors for sight seeing but the highest floors are for VIPs only.

User

The view is excellent. So many tourist and people thought we were also tourists so we just went along with it lol Lovely Ice cream to buy at the top. Well recommended.

User

Incredible experience. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff who were more than willing to take pictures for us. Had the champagne experience and worth every penny.

User

I have lost my much loved scarf on Saturday in our family visit, and thought i will not see it again. I send an email to the head office just in case someone handed to them, and amazingly, they got back to me with good news!! I am so happy to have found it, and hoping to go and collect it soon!

Thank you to every member of staff, and Merry Christmas to you all. ๏ฟฝ

User

Five star service even before we entered the building - With the lovely young lady at the entrance. After finding out that the Eye was closed for a few days during our trip to the Capital, we decided to visit The Shard instead. We were not disappointed, sipping a glass of champagne with excellent views of the Capital. Could life get any better? What was a really nice touch was when we decided we had taken the view in and descended back to terra firma, the lovely photo books were there waiting for us. The books have lots of facts and figures inside as well as your own personal photos. Whats more, they are not overpriced at all, with no pressure of having to buy them (we did.)

User

Fantastic visit with amazing staff, canโ€™t say thank you enough to the lovely lady who helped my 8 yr old overcome her fear on the skydeck. Her kindness and support made such a difference to our visit. Would highly recommend

User

Attended the silent disco here on Sat 16th Dec - this was as a surprise early birthday present from friends. Amazing experience with stunning views of London by night from the 69th floor bar and 72nd floor terrace, and the concept of the silent disco itself worked brilliantly. Reasonably-priced and well-made drinks, efficient and attentive bar service, extremely polite staff and a fantastic overall atmosphere. A thoroughly memorable experience!!

User

A must visit, to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. We are allowed to go up till the 72nd floor of the glass building.

User

A friend and I decided to check out the view recommended as an attraction whose entrance fee was included in the London Pass we purchased. Found the place easy using the Underground. There was no problem using our pass to get the tickets and the gentleman (Bradley) at the desk was very friendly and helpful, even going above and beyond to suggest places to go during the rest of my visit. We went up there fastest elevators we'd ever been in to a 72 story incredible view of London. It was just after dusk and amazing up there. Not too crowded at all on either deck. Absolutely stunning. We were going to go to the London Eye but the Shard is the way to go! Visited the gift shop after and Bradley was nice enough to tell me about some more places to check out based on my interests. Overall, a wonderful experience. Thank you!

User

A fantastic way to view London. We booked tickets to follow Afternoon Tea at Aqua Shard. Would highly recommend heading up at dusk - we spent a good hour watching darkness creep in and the big city light up!

User

The view was very good..however there is very little seating compared to the Sky Garden, which is free. The floor plan is very small at the top for so many people, so it may be a little overpriced. They should open up more floors...there were a couple above the 72nd I believe and provide more seating. People were just sprawled on the floor, not very comfortable. When you pay such a high price you want to stay for awhile and be comfy.

User

The Shard experience was a gift to me and my husband from our children. It was an ok experience, would have been great if the staff had some personality and knew how to interact with people. We felt like cattle being herded, and there was no waiting area for those arriving early, as you are not allowed to travel to the viewing area before your allocated time. The Eureka Tower in Melbourne was organised much better !

User

Bought tickets in advance from Picnic Tickets. Arrived at 4:15pm with five young children in tow only to be told that the earliest we could get in was 8pm. Needless to say we didn't enter.

Contacted Picnic tickets who swiftly arranged a refund and said they were not previously aware of such long waiting times. Good for them for refunding.

User

Pre-booked view tickets and the VR experience. On the day it was raining and cloudy so views were limited. That's the chance you take in the UK and they offered us replacement tickets if the zero visibility continued. However the real problem is the VR experience is on an open floor area on floor 72 and isn't weather proof! It was shut because the rain had stopped it working!!! Why put a tech experience that isn't weatherproof out in the open in London in winter?! Who thought that was a good idea? They warned on the website that views may be limited but not a word about the VR experience not running if it rains. Really poor. Total wasted day out and train fares etc now. Just not worth bothering unless it's summer and at least there is a good chance of things actually working.

User

Buy ticket, book a time slot, move heaven and earth to arrive on time, to QUEUE!!!. Thanks, I could queue bloody anywhere, but this rainy alleyway outside London Bridge station is all the more special. Better be worth it.

User

The gift vouchers are a higher price (ยฃ51.90) than two tickets (ยฃ41.90). Staff on customer service said this was a recent discount yet was the same in November (when challenged apparently they had a discount then). Gift vouchers are still being sold for a higher price than tickets.

Customer service were VERY unhelpful when asked if we could put the extra ยฃ10 paid towards the champagne experience and didn't have authority to do this despite talking to the acting manager.

Do not buy gift vouchers - they are a complete rip off.

User

It's a shame they operate with such lack of customer care and not even a modicum of goodwill. We had 4 tickets booked for the afternoon however our toddler woke up that day very ill and the gp confirmed that morning a bad ear/throat infection, we called with half days notice to try to reschedule for any other available day and time but they still refused as it was less than 24 hour notice. It is a shame you pay a premium for this experience and they work with a 'computer says No' attitude and no care for their customers, it is a shame companies like this nowdays only care about profit.

User

I went partly for the experience but mainly to take photographs. Firstly the glass was filthy but I do understand the difficulties of keeping it clean. Unfortunately I could not get many of the shots I wanted due to other viewers sitting down or in some cases almost laying down with legs parallel to the glass either drinking or eating. Apart from any other points I would suggest this could be a health and safety issue. Overall a pretty disappointing experience.

User

Firstly I would like to say up front, they made it clear they would not take payment prior to 2 weeks before the event, which I will explain later why.

I thought what a lovely place to propose to my now fiancรฉ, so I proceeded to contact them about the booking, they are not always responsive in replying but they did after a day or two.

They gave the price (yes expensive but a one off event means maybe something to consider). And I proceed to book a date. Now at this stage as written above they wonโ€™t take the booking payment until 2 weeks prior to the event, and also state that if another booking (bigger comes a long they may cancel). To be honest the way they replied it was booked and unlikely to change.

So about 2 weeks before I contacted them to arrange payment, they took a few days to get back to me as the person dealing with the booking was away. When they finally did they basically told me a bigger event had booked the private hire! They did offer me alternative dates but nothing guaranteed!

I had already booked the Shangri-La and the Oblix in the shard as I needed to do this in advance as they both can get booked quickly.

So when they cancelled the booking I was devastated. What kind of business basically waits for the best offer to come in? Why offer it to marriage proposals if you are going to do this? To me itโ€™s the worse kind of business, it shouldnโ€™t be only about money but they are offering a once in a life time experience.... yes one in a life time to forget, all my preparations destroyed becomes of a lack of professionalism and at minimum the worst organisation Iโ€™ve dealt with in a very long time.

I would like to say thank you to the Shangri-La hotel who managed to make my experience special no thanks to the The view from the Shard.
