Join in the fun this Halloween in our private barn area for an afternoon of pumpkin carving, spooky arts and crafts and Halloween inspired party games.

Fancy dress is of course optional for both adults and children, but is strongly encouraged in order to get in to the Halloween spirit.

Let’s celebrate the summer in style ☀️
As the end of the summer holidays looms ever near, what better way to celebrate than a day of fun, hopefully sun, good food, drinks and live music at your local village Pub...
We of course hope the sun shines long into the Autumn months but, as you may know by now, any excuse for a good time is alright by us and as the last bank holiday before Christmas, (I dared to say the unsayable in August 😬) it would be rude not to.

With a great line up of live music, fresh summer cocktails made by a professional mixologist, tasty BBQ, guest ales, and all your other firm favourites The Wheatsheaf has to offer such as kids play area, free bouncy castle and amazing outside dining area, this is one bank holiday event you will not want to miss!
Our restaurant will also be open as usual from 12pm-5pm so of course, if a traditional homemade roast dinner is what you seek we will be offering our full menu alongside the bbq too. Winner!

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but our menu is so delightful...
A new month marks the change to our Specials Menu, check out what tasty new dishes are on offer this month.
I sampled the salmon dish yesterday, as pictured below, and I must say it was awesome.

We also recently upgraded our lunchtime sandwich and jacket potato menu. So why not pop in for a jacket with chilli and sour cream on this dreary Thursday afternoon to warm you up?

Rob {New owner} is a fantastic guy and it’s a fantastic pub with lots of great goings on-Keep up the gud work mate

Paula the chef is excellent. I eat here at least once a week. The staff are friendly and accommodating and my young daughter loves the play area in the garden and toys on offer to play with which keeps her entertained during our visits. 👍🏻😊

Just been to the quiz night and had a great veggie burger and chips, really good burger bun and skinny fries. Not to mention an enormous and very chocolatey brownie! Good service, and friendly staff and quizmaster. Fun night had by us all. Would recommend!

Had such a great day out yesterday food was amazing great atmosphere great music the staff and landlord and landlady were so attentive throughout despite being rushed off their feet also love the fact great open space and camping site and a great facilities to keep children amused

Had a lovely meal here today with my husband, food was excellent and staff were friendly and welcoming! Already booked here for another meal with our family! Thank you

Had a fantastic lunch here today. The food was amazing, i highly recommend the honey ham, egg & chips!! Proper home cooked food. Helen and Jadeen were attentive and lovely to have a chat with, thank you ladies. Had a great afternoon. Look forward to coming back more often!!

Great Pub with a friendly staff. Rob the new owner a great guy who took time out of his day to interact and make the visit that much more enjoyable. Will most certainly be back on a regular basis
