Lovely meal on Wednesday, forgot to book and they were very busy, but squeezed us in pretty quick at 7pm. Decided on something different, great decision as it was lovely; topped off with a rocky road sundae, amazing :-)

Had a lovely meal, with a very good waitress. Everything was good, she was very attentive and made sure everything was on time and hot 😊

User

It was the prefect venue (in the bar area) to meet up with local family and our overseas visitor (also a family member). We arrived at 1.00 p.m. and we were able to catch up without impinging on other users there. In Addition to the drink purchases, food was available to order from the bar for those who required it. It is a good place to catch up and exchange stories without being in other users way. We shall certainly visit again in the not too distant future.

User

Service a little slow, nice choice of mains but all the ice cream sundae desserts were chocolate or caramel based so not a lot of choice

Its ok but standards for breakfast have dropped. Went for breakfast friday 5th jan. Only one waitress under pressure occasionally helped by manager but not enough. Usually we have been asked is everything ok and would u like any more? Still pretty good value but definitely going downhill. Staffing needs to be addressed as does the general professionalism including the cooking and warmth of food and hot drinks.

Booked for a table for two on s recent Saturday evening. Although I couldn't fault the meal and service, I found that the bar, for a pre-dinner drink, was under manned. Only one staff member serving drinks. Had to wait nearly 10 minutes before being served, even though it was not over-busy. The tables were sticky with spilt drinks as were the menus that were laying about. Glasses had not been collected subsequently tables were not cleaned. The floor carpets were strewn with detritus. The bar staff have, on several occasions, not ensured that my Rewards Card was swiped correctly st point of sale and have lost many points because of this. No receipt is given, unless asked for, but you trust the staff to have made sure that the appropriate points would be added.

Went for a meal to celebrate a new era in our family’s life on 29/3. We asked for a side of onion rings and did not receive with the main meal. My wife and son had refillable coke but never in 2 hours got offered a refill. When I wanted a pint I had to ask not being asked. If I had to make out of 10 the experience last night I would give 4/10

Visited here and had mixed grill, the gammon was like a thick piece of bacon , and so re heated I could literally snap it.. the steak I ordered medium had blood. There were literally 15 skinny fries, which were cool. My father had the roast lamb Sunday lunch. He nearly broke his dentures on the meat, tough as old boots. Long wait for drinks and food. No eye contact with staff. Not impressed.

User

The service was very good. The food was ok. I ordered vegetarian linguine. It was topped with half a red pepper that had been sliced and slightly cooked. The presentation left a lot to be desired and the amount of pepper was off putting.

The cheesecake was dry and unpleasant.

User

Really slow service. Dirty plates on the table forever and it wasn’t even a busy day. Not impressed and the burger was so tough u couldn’t even cut through it! Sent it back and went home!

User

Hugely disappointed again, we used to visit regularly but the last few times we’ve been the meal has been poor.

Today we tried the new menu our table was booked for 6pm, we were told that several menu items were not available. Whoever put the new menu together needs to think again, I had the Lemon Thyme chicken, who puts Mayonnaise with Gravy? The meal I was served was awful it was thickly covered with a Thyme so much so that it masked the taste of chicken, it was so bad I couldn’t eat it. The rocket was screwed up in a ball and tucked between the gravy and the mayonnaise and was certainly not dressed. There were other things wrong with the meal, kids meal not served with menu stated accompaniment, steak undercooked, returned for more cooking and still under (asked for medium rare) questionable kids serving size (excessive 4+ scoops of frozen yoghurt) unfortunately this is now typical of our visits to The Woodlands, time to find a new local restaurant

User

this is the second time ive been and wont be rushing back again...service slow as before..they wouldnt let us use a voucher we had and i only ordered egg and chips and they bought out a tiny bowl of chips and my egg was put onto one of our friends dinner instead of a plate for me..not impressed

User

Second time in three weeks and the food was cold!!!! Then was given the wrong bill!!!Think it will be a while before we go back and try again!!! I know it’s a busy time of year!!!! But come on Woodlands isn’t it time you got your act together!!!!!

User

Normally have nothing to complain about but New Year’s Day meal was not good. What they had, which was not a lot came out as potato wedges instead of loaded potato skins, Mediterranean vegetable linguine was loaded with green beans and the bbq ribs were burnt and fatty. The waiter obviously didnt want to be there, and it showed plus he had no idea on how to wait a table.

User

My in laws planned to spend their evening here to see in the New Year, sat and had a meal and then expected to see in the New Year at the bar only to be told that the bar would not be open and they would have leave so they missed seeing in the New Year which was a huge disappointment

User

I’ve never had such a disappointing meal. Not only did our starters come out ten minutes apart they was over cooked and the side salads frozen. The main meals were diabolical. The steaks like something cooked two months ago and left out to hang about when ordered medium rares. The buns for burgers would have been used as a bomb back in the day and could have caused serious damage let alone eating them. The roasted vegetables in the linguine were as roasted as mashed potato.

The highchair they gave for my 18month old would have probably been cleaner if left in a skip for two years. Absolutely disgusting from start to finish.

And why does cucumber come red hot? What’s that all about.

Woodlands totally ruined what was supposed to be a great family birthday meal.

I would not recommend to my worst enemy

User

Had a meal on the 22nd December to celabrate my Grandsons birthday and Family Christmas meal,

My Grandaugther had the Chicken meatball starter off the childrens Menu, these were tried by three adults as she would not eat them and said they were not nice.

Not even sure what they were made of grey appearance no taste odd texture. I did complain via email and got a cut and paste reply they would pass my comments on to Menu Development And Marketing team, I thought i would also pass it on.

The rest of the meal was great waitress was good, but was spoilt for my Grandaugther who is 4 as she was upset because she thought we were cross with her for not eating her food.

Came here as family group of 12. For starters 4 of us ordered the Mushrooms and Chestnuts on toast, described as ‘served on toasted ciabatta and dribbled with chestnut oil’. I have attached the picture of what actually got put in front of us. No chestnuts and served on (what looked like) Tesco value bread. Ciabatta was also supposed to be served with the pate but we got untoasted slices white bread. The waiters seemed embarrassed serving the food up and when we enquiries as to the whereabouts of the ciabatta the waiter said he has just asked the kitchen and they are out of ciabatta. It would have been nice to be informed and for the bread to have been in the toaster longer than 15seconds. He offered to change the starter and instead we had cold Brie bites. The mains and puddings were okay, apart from one of the puddings being missed and having to wait an extra 15 minutes after chasing a waiter around to ask for the missing crumble. When the bill came it said on the bottom to talk to the manager if anything was not satisfactory, so we did. He offered no apologies, sorry wasn’t in his vocabulary, instead he said we should have informed our waiter. We then complained to the waiter who eventually agreed to see what he could do, after making a ton of excuses for the manager. When they came over with a new bill with £15 off we were told they mucked up our first bill and missed some bits off, so the new bill was in fact £40 extra. We understand Sunday’s are busy but when one mistake after another occurs it becomes frankly embarrassing having to keep ask the waiters. A simple apology would have been nice but instead we will never be eating here again. Don’t waste your money.

Lovely meal on Wednesday, forgot to book and they were very busy, but squeezed us in pretty quick at 7pm. Decided on something different, great decision as it was lovely; topped off with a rocky road sundae, amazing :-)

User

User

User

There were other things wrong with the meal, kids meal not served with menu stated accompaniment, steak undercooked, returned for more cooking and still under (asked for medium rare) questionable kids serving size (excessive 4+ scoops of frozen yoghurt) unfortunately this is now typical of our visits to The Woodlands, time to find a new local restaurant

this is the second time ive been and wont be rushing back again...service slow as before..they wouldnt let us use a voucher we had and i only ordered egg and chips and they bought out a tiny bowl of chips and my egg was put onto one of our friends dinner instead of a plate for me..not impressed

User

Second time in three weeks and the food was cold!!!! Then was given the wrong bill!!!Think it will be a while before we go back and try again!!! I know it’s a busy time of year!!!! But come on Woodlands isn’t it time you got your act together!!!!!

Lovely meal on Wednesday, forgot to book and they were very busy, but squeezed us in pretty quick at 7pm. Decided on something different, great decision as it was lovely; topped off with a rocky road sundae, amazing :-)

User

Had a lovely meal, with a very good waitress. Everything was good, she was very attentive and made sure everything was on time and hot 😊

User

Absolutely amazing took mum for Mother’s Day with my dad we all had steaks which was cook to perfection then out comes our puddings omg the pina colada sundae was yummy I reckon a shot of Malibu would make it even better definitely will be returning mum had a wonderful night xx

User

User

Went for a meal to celebrate a new era in our family’s life on 29/3. We asked for a side of onion rings and did not receive with the main meal. My wife and son had refillable coke but never in 2 hours got offered a refill. When I wanted a pint I had to ask not being asked. If I had to make out of 10 the experience last night I would give 4/10

User
