Third Space seems to have become my second home. Having started a martial arts programme with Roland (Tower Bridge) and Alex (Soho) my training has been first class. Working across three martial arts muay thai, boxing and BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) my progress has been incredible. Covering everything from technique, sparring and recovery this has been the best training I've had in all my years studying the arts. Roland is an exceptional coach working to take my striking and overall training to the next level, with a superb programme of work. Alex's masterful training in BJJ is formidable.

If you're interested in martial arts then check these guys out, they're brilliant.

The only draw back is that the two clubs aren't linked so it can feel like I'm signed up to two different gyms at times. A couple more morning boxing/muay thai classes at Tower Bridge would be great too.

User

It is an amazing gym. Never see something like this. I came all the way from Holland to just visit this wonderfull club.

User

I worked there (Canary Wharf venue) for the best part of 10 years so I might be a bit biased, but I think the Wharf branch is amazing. Pool, sports hall, tons of new cardio machines, boxing ring, huge free weights area etc etc.

With the exception of a few personal trainers and middle management that have their head stuck up their ass, the staff are great too!

User

I signed on the dotted line for a Third Space membership before it even opened, about 15 years ago now, and I've been a continuous member there ever since.

I have at times considered other gyms, for no other reason than a change, but have never left as there is just nothing like it (Soho). There might be bigger gyms with more equipment or fancier premises elsewhere, but for me, nothing else has ever appealed enough for me to leave.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the gym itself is on several floors and has natural light, and while over the years I might have had a few gripes here and there (nowhere is perfect), it was never enough for me to cancel my membership.

In the last couple of years, they have invested heavily in the gym and it really shows: new equipment, a new spin studio, a new floor exercise area, a new pool and more. What is there not to like.

I will most likely be a Third Space member for as long as I can afford it and as long as I can get to a gym!

User

I had spent most of 2016 learning Muay Thai with Roland at Third Space Tower Bridge. It was truly a fantastic experience both on a personal and physical level. I regularly went to his classes and had one-to-one coaching from him as well. The different aspects of the art helped me greatly with my fitness, mobility as well as reduce my stress levels throughout the day. I would highly recommend Roland and Muay Thai for those experienced and unexperienced alike. Not only is the club well suited for the public with everything a fitness fanatic requires but also has fantastic staff (support and PTs)!

User

A truly fantastic gym in a great location. The facilities are excellent, the equipment is up-to-date and most importantly the atmosphere is great. All of the staff are highly engaged, helpful and will always take the time to help you out if you look like you're in need. One of the PT's (Ben) saw me struggling with an injury and spent a few minutes of his free time helping me out with some posture work which transformed my lifting and rehab. David and the management team are always friendly and genuinely care about the well being and satisfaction of the clients. I couldn't recommend these guys highly enough.

User

A lot of people on here are stating that cancelling membership is not easy and staff make it difficult but due to moving home it is a luxury I can no longer afford sadly but I gave my 1 calendar months notice and had a chat to one of the team and yes they did ask why I was leaving which is natural but when I explained they couldn't have been nicer. Even offering to put my membership on hold for free!! I am so sad to leave the gym as the classes and the trainers are great. Yes it did get busy at peak times but no busier than I have experienced in other gyms. Hopefully one day I will return!

User

Would have got a 5 if there was a hot tub. The add ons are a great feature.

User

Only 1 barbell bench press and 1 barbell incline press so at peak times you are fighting for space in the weights area. The track next to the rig is too small to get an effective workout. Need a prowler with different attachments to vary the workouts. When I cancelled my membership I was told I had to still pay for the current month and the following month and to make matters worse I was told that I couldn't use the club for my last remaining 6 days even after paying £130 for the final full month.

I think what lets this club down is the membership team and management for not being transparent in the beginning. My previous gym was Ultimate Performance who exceeded my expectations in every department especially client focus and this is an area Third Space fails. I'm sure Third Space will defend this but if they went to another high class gym they may understand why I rate this area so poor. However 3 guys on the gym floor were very engaging and helpful. Roland, Aaron and Ollie.

User

CW gym is average. I have much better value local gyms but this is close to work and therefore handy. Range of instructors who are mostly very good.

Substantial over crowding in the last 6 months which has created havoc (in the already unclean/unhoovered) changing rooms and also meant I have had to cut workouts short and avoid classes I enjoy, to prevent getting caught in a 15 min shower queue and daily fight for a hairdryer.

The gym are also poor at following through with actions.

User

Very very bad experience ! I've been a member for one year an half and when I wanted to cancel my membership just coz it was on the beginning of the month I had to stay and for another one. So basically they made me to stay ( PAY ) for an extra month. So disappointed...

Cheating and unfair way to make money !

Hello,

Im new member and I have weekend pass( Friday,Saturday and Sunday)

but I work from Tuesday to Saturday untill 7 p.m , but gym close at 8.m.p on Saturday and I lost this day, and unfortunately I cant change day for my weekend pass.

I really like the gym and swimming pool ,BUT major improvement need to be done on customer service.

I had unpleasant situation my belongings already.

I forgot my shopping bags( new bag and clothes) in the closed locker, it was evening time, and I called immediately and asked for help,

I said exactly where it was and asked to keep my stuff and I would come back early morning . I could not imagine ,that this high level gym Cant help in this situation ! I came next morning and couldn't find my bags and nobody could explain me,why didn't receptionist

fullfill my request ! All I had for an answer -we are not responsible for any forgotten things . My bags were stolen by another members or cleaner, because my locker opened automatically 23.00 ( cleaning time :)

and with my friend happened similar story in this gym,and

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DISGUSTING!!!!!! Seems, that the whole team over there is just for presence and not to provide any help or customer service in general. Gym is keen to receive payments from clients, but not really keen to assist with queries or to assist in general.

I would like to warn members to be careful and if you will have similar story ,you should return immediately as team there is not RESPONSIBLE for anything.

User

Clearly Third Space now cares more about quantity rather than quality... many great trainers have left the company and those who are left and beloved by members - such as Stevie (whose classes are always packed which tells you a lot)- do not have enough classes (compared to some - less experienced - trainers) so you have to be quite flexible and work your schedule around that. Furthermore, Third Space allows outside businesses to book classes every evening in the studios so you can’t even use the studios in the evenings until 10 pm!! What the actual ****!? With the group access costing almost £200 pcm, you shouldn’t be restricting your members to what equipment and studios they can use, there should only be classes that are actually Third Space classes, no some random businesses from elsewhere. Never seen anything like it before! Obviously they know the size of the gym and its facilities are an aventage but it’s time to support the people who bring quality to the gym and it would be great to be able to use the studios after work whenever the paying members want to... really hope the City will be different to this ... thIs is honestly disappointing

User

Very very disappointed! My new gym kit has been stolen from the changing rooms! I asked the management team if I can escalate this further, they told me NO! They told me to sort it out myself. How you can feel secure at this place?

User

Treated terribly by staff they gave me the wrong keys back (why did they have to take them anyway is beyond me) I then had to be locked out of my house for an hour in the freezing cold AND come back the next day to pick up my keys only to be told it was my fault for not checking the keys the guy put in my hand incorrectly. nEVer going back or recommending to anyone.

User

Really disappointed with the level of service at Third Space. I’m still waiting on a response about why Third Space has mishandled my data.

User

My Experience with Third Place has been terrible. I joined canary wharf branch at the time it was still called Reebok sport. When it became third place, they upgraded my weekend pass to group access, which meant I could have access to other Third Space gyms in London. In June I had to leave UK for a while and was unsure when I would be back. I spoke to a guy at the reception whether I could temporarily cancel my membership for now and then re-join the gym upon my return. He assured me ‘yes – absolutely ’. When I returned back to the UK, I looked to join the membership again but was informed that my new membership does not grant access to the other gyms, which is very inconvenient for me considering I have a client based job and need to work at many different places in London.

As a customer, I truly feel that I was not given correct and adequate information and advice regarding my membership benefits. If they told me that I would no longer be entitled to the group access benefit and also have to pay extra £50 for new joining fee. I would have not chosen to cancel my membership in the first place.

I raised this issue to one of their managers and he asked me to pay the full price for the 5 months plus £50 joining fee in order to regain the group access even though I did not even use the service at all during the 5 months. As such a high-end gym, they don’t even give any apology for my horrible experience. They don’t know how to properly treat their customers and I would definitely not recommend it!

User

I have been a member for more than 7 years and what I can say is that they DO NOT VALUE customers. I froze my membership because due to work constraints I wasn't able to attend the club very often anymore. When I asked to kindly cancel my membership ( from the freeze) I was forced to pay A FULL MONTH before cancellation. I wasn't offered a deal or anything and I was probably one of the top 15 most loyal customers! This is outrageous!! I have never received an offer or incentive in 7 years! Prices kept rising to ridiculous levels and ultimately, after so much loyalty to the club, I am milked yet another 150£ ca just to be able to LEAVE the club. I FEEL DISGUSTED.

User

Beautiful gym but truly unimpressed with the customer service. Especially considering the price of their memberships. Very deceitful and disrespectful on numerous occasions. They also make it a nightmare to get out of your membership. Very disappointed with my overall experience.
