Thirsk Racecourse Club Site Description
Thirsk Racecourse Caravan Club Site is managed by The Club on behalf of the Racecourse. Whilst staying here you'll be pitched within sight of the main stand, with the famous turf stretching out before you. A 5-minute walk from the caravan park will take you to the lovely cobbled market town of Thirsk, with its quaint shops, pubs, secluded side streets and rich local atmosphere. The Black Lion restaurant and bar in the village is reported to serve delicious food, using locally sourced ingredients. There are two supermarkets located adjacent to the site and the train station is only a mile away so you can easily visit the cities of York, Leeds and Manchester.

Tour de Yorkshire reveals the six host towns for the 2017 event. To help you plan your journey a route map will be available on Friday 2 December 2016 from Tour de Yorkshire.
Everyone is welcome on site during race days, though please note that all outfits have to be pitched on the Rally Field. This area is non-EHU. There is no access to toilet facilities during race days. Outfits already on site will need to be moved to the rally field by 10am the day before a race meeting. We have been to Thirsk racecourse a number of times and we love it. It's so friendly and welcoming. The whole place is so pretty with gorgeous flowers neatly positioned. Every thing is to hand and not too expensive. The course is easy to get to and free to park. If you haven't been it's well worth a visit.
Very friendly, helpful wardens, immaculately clean toilets and well kept site. Ideally situated within walking distance to all amenities.
Need to bring in a better band the Motown girl is the best .... the one that was on Tuesday 20th June was very dull and not uplifting at all . Everything else at thirsk racecourse is excellent.

Great site and warsens. Handy for the lovely town, shops and if you are lucky watching the horse � racing.
Great site Pat and Graham were very helpful, close to town, open area and facilities were good. Loved it will be going again
For a full site there was loads of space around the 'vans, nice to see! Clean facilities, great shower, can't be faulted.
Fab site,just round the corner into the town,ideal ! Lots of nice villages nearby to visit and enjoy. Lovely BH �

Very Tidy site on the prerphery of Thirsk Race Course.
Clean & Tidy Facilities, Very Friendly & Helpful Stewards, Short walk into Town, Supermarkets close by for supplies, All Good 👍
Great location but could do with the showers/toilets upgrading. Clean & friendly site that we have used on several occasions.

The site was OK toilet block was clean but very dated nothing much on site compared to other caravan club sites relief wardens where very abrupt and need some work on people skills the site it in a great location overall a good stay
Toilet block very dated,really close to shops
The only good thing about this site is how close it is to the town and shops. The sanitary arrangements are very overdue for total modernisation. Won't be staying again.
Nice site in town, we were in owners and trainers enclosure very disappointed with the food I asked on entry if I needed a food voucher for my son who was 13 they stated no he was free when we were getting our food they refused to give him anything without a voucher.... cross communication amongst staff I wasn’t very happy to say the least.
