About Tonbridge Cricket Club

With a proud history, we are the longest established cricket club in Tonbridge.

Our secluded ground is large compared to many and, coupled with our new pavilion, offers superb facilities to club members and visitors alike.
There are few finer places to enjoy the final stages of a cricket match than at our ground bathed in the early evening sunshine!

On Saturdays the club competes in the Kent Cricket League. Our first XI playing in Division VI and the second XI play in the 2nd XI Division V. On Sundays we play friendly matches under the banner of Tonbridge Exiles CC.

The club boasts a thriving junior section, with Under 11 and Under 13 sides who both won silverware last season.

Anyone interested in playing for Tonbridge CC should contact us, give us a call or simply come down to any of our matches at our Welland Road ground. Weather permitting there are matches every Saturday afternoon between the end of April and September.

We have a large number of social members, many of whom are former players, friends, their families and spectators. All members and their guests are welcome to enjoy matches from the comfort of the fine pavilion and make use of the facilities.

Two more wins to report as our U15s won for the first time this season on Sunday, and our U11s won convincingly last night. Well done to everyone involved.

A report from our U13s:
Congratulations to the boys for another great win yesterday.
Everyone had a bowl and 9 boys got a bat.
... We scored 132 (100 off the bat and 32 extras). They scored 103 (94 off the bat and only 9 extras). Another great bowling and fielding performance and many more contributions with the bat. Great to see. We run a fielder of the match each game with the boys voting. Yesterday’s clear winner was Connor after his diving catch dismissed their best batsman for a duck.
We reduced them to 9 for 5 with 3 early wickets for Shri and 2 for Finlay. However they managed to get back into the game and ended up on 103 all out even after their retired player came in for another go.
We’re third in the league, just 4 points behind Sevenoaks vine so it will be a big match this Sunday.
Thanks again for the support of the parents and boys. It’s been a damp year so far so let’s hope we start to see some sun.

Another up and down weekend for the club. The 1s had no game but the 2s lost away at Addington. The U13s had a great win at Castle Hill so well done to them.
The U11s are at home against Holmesdale B tonight.

Despite the weather at the weekend, the 1st XI managed to grab their first win of the season away against Catford Wanderers, defending 150 runs. The 2nd XI had their game abandoned whilst in a very good position.
The last few days have seen our U11s and U13s have games called off due to the rain. When will it end?

User

Junior training today has been cancelled. It is too wet unfortunately.

User

Due to the volume of rain overnight, we will be having an inspection of the ground at 8.30am. An update will follow soon.

A mixed bag of results over the last few days for the club. Our 1st XI lost but our 2nd XI got a good win, thanks in part to an unbeaten 50 by Liam Wolters.
On Sunday we started with a great win for our U13s, followed by defeat for our Sunday side. But we bounced back again yesterday with a win in our senior T20 competition.
Many congratulations to Alfie Simpson who won the Invicta U13 player of the month for his double wicket maiden in our win against Kings Hill.

User

Great message for the club from England captain Eoin Morgan.

User

Well done to TCC Australian overseas Liam Wolters who hit a classy 97 not out over the weekend in the Kent League. Great work!

The 1st XI had their game cancelled due to rain on Saturday, but our 2nd XI got off to a flyer with a good win over Walmer.
Our Under 13s defended only 64 to win against Kings Hill on Sunday, and our Under 11s had a convincing win over Sevenoaks Vine B tonight. 3 wins in 3 days, what a start to the season for all of those teams.

User

Bit of rain yesterday and over night. Regardless of conditions we will still be going ahead with registration for juniors today. Should hopefully be good enough for a full training session.

User

The junior sessions start this Saturday. 9.15am start and 10.45am finish. Please aim to be there a bit earlier so we can collect your registration forms.

Tonbridge CC get their season underway today with a home fixture against Mayfield CC. We'd like to take this opportunity to introduce our two Australian overseas players, Damian Howsham (left) and Liam Wolters (right).

Our T20 semi final at the Spirfire Ground has finally been confirmed for the 6th April, 10.30am start. If we win that we will play the final straight after. Would be great to get lots of support on the day.
