Went to see Jackson Live on Thursday night. Arrived early and had a lovely meal in the bar area first. Absolutely enjoyed the show. First in the queue for the clean toilets in the break. A great venue and close enough for a fab night out. Definitely recommended.

Was privileged enough to get a sneak peek of the dress rehearsals today with our school. Was an amazing performance and will definitely be booking for my family for Christmas! Well done everybody. Brilliant, just brilliant! Xx

Very nice place both to go for a show and an enjoyable meal please do go to the panto as it is a very lovley experience and yu can take the boy out of the panto but not take the panto out of the boy!!!

This is the third year we have gone to the pantomime here, and each year it exceeds expectations. The cast is so talented and the attention to detail is exceptional, they truly create an experience to remember. Go and enjoy!

That was phenomenal!! What a brilliant panto, such a huge amount of talent and creativity! Can’t wait to book for next year, thanks to all involved! One of the best shows / pantos we’ve ever seen, highly recommend

Show was fantastic really enjoyed it. I do have a major gripe though please in future will you put more bar staff on as it was horrendous last night queued for ages and only just got my drink before show started.

Me and my Daughter saw the show last night with my granddaughter.. It was an amazing show & my granddaughter Violet absolutely loved it! She is 4 in January & she was jumping off her seat and dancing.. Magical memory <3 She was upset she couldn’t get on stage at the end with other children.. We were in the upper circle so next time we will book more in advance and hopefully she will get the chance to go onstage too!

It's a great place to go for a Gd night out been there few times to the wrestling loved it

From Basildon to Bollywood what an amazing Panto! all the cast, ensemble dancers and musicians gave 100% its so funny and entertaining it will appeal to kids young and old. A visit will get you in the Christmas spirit , wonderful sets and fabulous choreography well done creatives team well worth a visit

Excellent performance tonight in the Mirren Studio with Marc Robinson (Buddy Holly), and his band, with Gavin Stanley as Billy Fury....Oh and the lady from Hockley, seated in J13, who continually tapped away at her mobile phone, on Facebook to share the performance with all her friends!



This was so distracting for me and my wife who were sitting directly behind her, in K14 & 15.



The light from this lady's phone was dazzling and very annoying!



Why are these people so ignorant of others, is quite beyond me!



So why does the Theatre / Mirren Studio not provide an automated announcement to its audiences - to politely turn off their mobiles phones and not use them during the performances...?



Yes, of course, I could have spoken to the lady myself but this can ruin an evening and cause hard feelings between both of us....



If you cannot provide an audio message - then at the very least - place suitable / polite signage at locations leading into the auditoriums - requesting people to turn off their phones.

Every year for the past decade Simon never lets us down ,he and his team are part of our Christmas, Fantastic fun for the whole family ( Sophie in the cat suit�). Simply the best panto in the UK wonderful. Thank you all at Towngate .

Beautiful theatre with some great shows - we’re lucky to have it so close!

Aladdin was amazing! Lots of laughs and we thought the show was great! (Family of 7) we would recommend and go back next year

My friend and I saw the motown show last night and had a great time inside the theatre is fine, we also had meal there the food was ok but the table we had was dirty with no menu or condiments another moan were the toilets they didn't look like they had been cleaned all day and one cubicle was flooded we realise it was a popular show and therefore packed but standards shouldn't be ignored, we have been to the towngate lots of times and always seen great shows so well done for that .

Great little theatre and show shame the don’t sell ice cream in the interval

Another great pantomime, the family really enjoyed it. However I did miss the "its behind you, oh no it isnt sketch" so I feel as thou I can not give it the full star rating. Lets hope this is in next years pantomime !!!!!

Towngate theatre poor performance in that my son yesterday morning was sent to hospital with suspected meningitis and was unable to attend the show yesterday afternoon and upon speaking to you and saying I can prove it. That you have said that you can’t give us another time to see the Panto or a refund. This is an absolute joke and now have 2 very upset children. Shame on you �
