Just to let you know about my experience with Travel Designers, specifically with James Whitaker-Sheppard (he is a sales manager there).



I'm going through the process of planning our (mine and my wife's) holidays for the summer. But as always, full of work and other things to do, so planning these trips is very time consuming, and the final result (getting a really good place and conditions) usually loses quality, or if not, sees a big price increase, due to the daily work load and lack of time.



I received an email from Travel Designers with some promotions for the summer, and saw something that I really liked. I decided to call them immediately, and James picked up the phone. He is not only nice, but funny to, and hence my conversation with him was laughing from beginning to end.



I started by saying where I wanted to go directly, but after a while chatting with James, I saw that it was too expensive and would blow my budget away. So he introduced me some options based on other request made by me (this one for a specific place that I thought would be less expensive).



Why do I always think I know best?



I was not happy with my second choice, wanted the first choice, but was about to settle. then I said to James what I really wanted, my first choice, described everything what I like on a holidays, and he asked me for a day to suggest some options.



Time well spent indeed. He came back with the best suggestion ever, not only the place but the Hotel and a (the) Room. I was really impressed!



People do not understand what is the value added of paying the agencies' fee, but I can tell you that due to James, I'm now about to go to a dream place for me and my wife, top notch facilities and conditions, and inside my budget bracket.



He told me in the end that, he managed to do this so fast, because he had been to more than 12 hotels in this place, several different times before (the local knowledge bit I was missing before in my search...please do learn Martim, not too late).



Also, his timings of answer, availability, and the fact he was so nice to us, makes me not only use his services on every holidays I will plan in the future, but also recommend it to people in general, specifically to those that are going through the process of finding a special place and are a bit lost...the World is indeed a big place, although we sometimes think it is not :)

Having recently returned from the Maldives and a holiday that exceeded all hopes and expectations, I want to thank Travel Designers for their help and advice. From the day I turned up in the office to discuss what we wanted from our first trip away together in many years, we felt we were in good hands. James was so helpful and seemed genuinely interested in getting us just what we wanted from our holiday. The resort he recommended (Komandoo) was perfect and just what we had hoped for. At every stage in the process we felt looked after and supported (even to a follow-up letter on our return). When I turned up a few days before we were due to leave with a number of last-minute questions, not only did James remember me from my initial visit when I originally booked the holiday some 9 months previously, but he couldn't have been more patient and helpful with all the questions I had come with. I cannot recommend Travel Designers highly enough; they really do seem to care about their clients and to want them to have the best experience possible. We are already planning our next trip away and needless to say will be booking through Travel Designers again.

Great to deal with these guys; just give them your dates and what you're after and then sit back and start your holiday.
