We visited on our Peak District holiday last week and were very impressed, its quite a walk up but so worth it! From the Tardis entry door to the great tour guide who seemed genuinely excited to talk about the different caverns, Blue John stone and everything in between. It was great, start to finish. And don't forget to check out the beautiful jewellery on offer in the shop, I couldnt resist! Thanks for a great experience

The entrance seems to have shrunk, I'm sure the last time I visited it was bigger. Well some 30 years have past 😂. Was good to visit again with my son. A great tour guide, very informative, thanks Katy.

User

My friend and I visited Treak Cliff yesterday, 5th March. There were only 3 of us, including our guide, Katie. Wow, what an amazing experience. Katie was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic in telling us the stories of how Treak Cliff was discovered and the mining of the Blue John. It was absolutely fantastic and would highly recommend a visit to Treak Cliff

User

It was a great experience All the candles and tiny tea lights all around the rocks and the Christmas tree all lit up and some good old fashioned carols with a great accordion player Followed by mulled wine and mince pies Lovely

I used to visit this cavern when I was little. I have waited patiently until my three year old son was old enough to visit and appreciate what we were experiencing.

My husband has also never been in a cave before either so between the two of them, their excitement increased our enjoyment of the tour immensely.

My mother purchased some chocolate coins along the way and we carefully placed them around the caverns for our little man to find. Our tour guide Gareth played along and helped our son find the coins in amongst the blue John and stalagmites.

Very informative and interesting tour and I would highly recommend this tourist attraction.

Oh and the lovely ladies in the shop make a belting cup of tea, made from the filtered water from the cavern itself!

Value for money!

User

I took my 4 year old son here and we both really enjoyed the experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and answered all our questions with passion.

User

Great place to visit if in the area. Not too taxing. Interesting information from the guide. Takes around 40 mins. Little bit damp but not cold inside. Lovely souvenir shop. Small cafe for snacks and drinks ( and toilets). Bonus visit from a Harris Hawk ( and owner) when we emerged.

User

Gareth showed us round, he was very knowledgable and we asked lots of questions! Great to see so much of the tweak blue stone in situ and hear about the history and current mining as well. Good value for money. Thank you

User

Fantastic tour yesterday tour guide was brilliant our 10 year Grandson loved it.

User

Fab place to visit and in my view the best cavern out of them all Amazing caves, great guide and wonderful people who run it! The cup of tea made from cave water we had after the tour was to die for!! Brilliant!!

User

Easy to find, easy to park, nice walk up to the shop and Cavern entrance. Reasonably priced for a family ticket and the tour was fascinating with the guide more than happy and capable of answering questions. Beautiful caves steeped in history.

User

Brilliant best cave we've visited! Guide was great showed is plenty of fossils. Kept daughter interested. Good little shop too well worth a visit!!

User

Absolutely fantastic tour. As an aspiring geologist I found it particularly fascinating and the tour hide (Olivia I believe she was called) was both incredibly knowledgeable and also inclusive for all ages (make sure you keep on making the honey sandwiches so the bear doesn’t get hungry..! ) . Thank you so much

User

A lovely place to visit, enjoyed a tour of the caves after Carol singing, very well organised and can highly recommend it

User

My boys found it a bit cold, but loved spotting all the hidden witches and other creatures in the formations
