We had a fab night with friends celebrating my hubby's 50th birthday. Great entertainment throughout the night,fantastic music, amazing atmosphere,friendly and helpful staff, good food. We felt like we were on holiday for the night.... Loved the mixed age group (didn't feel like an OAP), great mix of people, happy hour till 8pm, free entry,free cloakroom. We can't wait to go back,just need an excuse!! ���

I just had another unforgettable night with friends at Tropicana, it's not the first time we visited the place and as always it did not disappoint us, the service, the variety of drinks, the ambiance simply excellent.

First time there. Table Booking process very good. Went to celebrate birthdays. Good venue, entertainment and loved the food. Venue Slightly disorganised though when you get there. Offered shots because of birthday celebrations but never got them.

Venue not good if you don’t like a lot of stairs.

However a very enjoyable evening. Would love to go back sometime soon.

I’d booked a table from 7pm but didn’t get there until around 8pm due to there being a large group of us and ensuring we all got there together. Upon arrival, instead of a cheery welcome it was “oh you’re an hour late we just about kept your table”... well yes I paid for it so it should still be there, and I informed your reception that we were running late. The attitude did initially piss me off, as it’s my birthday and it wasn’t necessary. What I should’ve got was a “Happy birthday welcome!” A round of shots was promised which never appeared. All in all I had a great time, but that was solely due to the great bunch of people I was with and our waitress who was super busy but very attentive. Would debate whether I’d celebrate anything here again just due to the poor attitude on arrival.

Lost everything that gave it it's unique atmosphere. Now a cheesy student union feel instead of the afro /Brazilian vibe it used to offer. Despite the years I spent at this venue I'm not tempted to go back.

Arrived yesterday to the hostess saying we weren't on HER list even though I showed her my email confirmation. Apparently this wasn't enough. She literally walked away and disappeared, eventually returning saying she would 'do us a favour by letting us in!! What the hell??? After all this mess up we were finally let in by which time I was pretty grumpy!! This place has a saving grace and that is the atmosphere is pretty nice with a central dance area and raised level seating around the sides by the bar. Novelty of a beach/Hawaiian theme quickly wears off though and it eventually feels like any venue, despite intermittent sparklers passing through and confetti pops. Drinks are also expensive, even for London so can't imagine I'd ever go back.

Worst club I've ever been to. Very rude staff with Napolean complex. Whole staff management system is based on ingroup favoritism where customers come second. Had a table, popped a bunch of bottles, friends broke 2 bottles out of my sight. Then this staff came out of no where and started telling me that I broke the bottles. I said I didn't and I wasn't even blaming on him, then he got all heated and started yelling at me. I still am not sure until today why he did that, because he didn't want to clean up? Or he just hated his job? Or maybe he wasn't fond of the group of young kids we were? Obviously, I got pissed off at the moment and yelled back, which gave him a reason to kick me out of the club. I calmed down right away and wanted to talk to managers and bouncers about what happened, however, no one really cared about what I had to say. That staff also kept yelling at me along the way like a little kid. Kicking people out was probably the only way he could feel the superiority, which is fine by me. At the end of the day, all I need to do is go to another club, yet he is still stuck doing a job he dislikes.

If I could rate 0, I would. Rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. No air con so it’s abdolutely boiling. Overpriced. Full of idiots. But the staff really make it an unenjoyable experience on top of these and many other problems.

Novelty of a beach/Hawaiian theme quickly wears off though and it eventually feels like any venue, despite intermittent sparklers passing through and confetti pops. Drinks are also expensive, even for London so can't imagine I'd ever go back.

Worst club I've ever been to. Very rude staff with Napolean complex. Whole staff management system is based on ingroup favoritism where customers come second. Had a table, popped a bunch of bottles, friends broke 2 bottles out of my sight. Then this staff came out of no where and started telling me that I broke the bottles. I said I didn't and I wasn't even blaming on him, then he got all heated and started yelling at me. I still am not sure until today why he did that, because he didn't want to clean up? Or he just hated his job? Or maybe he wasn't fond of the group of young kids we were? Obviously, I got pissed off at the moment and yelled back, which gave him a reason to kick me out of the club. I calmed down right away and wanted to talk to managers and bouncers about what happened, however, no one really cared about what I had to say. That staff also kept yelling at me along the way like a little kid. Kicking people out was probably the only way he could feel the superiority, which is fine by me. At the end of the day, all I need to do is go to another club, yet he is still stuck doing a job he dislikes.

If I could rate 0, I would. Rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. No air con so it’s abdolutely boiling. Overpriced. Full of idiots. But the staff really make it an unenjoyable experience on top of these and many other problems.
