Seat leon cupra ALL deletes and remap. Gutted the engine bay right out and sorted some issues along the way. A good 5 to 7 kg off the nose of the car and way less chances of anything splitting of leaking. #boost #sai #tuningtechnics #n249 #cupra #auq #leon

It was 3.2 VR6 day today. Couple of barriers to break in regard to not being able to pull off the map and also a primary lambda fault being masked by a previous tune which explains the smell of fuel. Both stage 1s with pops. The TT is "bomb going off" loud the golf can barley be heard due to a stock exhaust system. Still need to iron out a few things on the TT which is common with over run in NA engines where a slight hesitation can be felt on the cross over point at very lei...ght loads. The technicality of it is that in order to produce pops the timing must be retarded electronically as far back as 30 degrees in some cases. This allows a late combustion which then passes through the exhaust valves then into the exhaust. On very leight loads where the timing has been retarded (leight load, off load areas) this can interpolate onto the loaded areas. The fix is to either move the retarded timing further up the rev range in turn stopping low rpm pops. On some ecus they have a minimun timing map which allows the tuner not to touch the main ignition map. Unfortuneltly on this ecu this cannot be done so a happy medium must be found. Mitsubishi Colt 1.5 Turbo custom tune. On this very rare occasion i tuned a jap car. I always wanted one of these because of how cheap they are and very easy to make reliable power. These see from 150 bhp to 200 in stock form just with a stage 1. Stage 2 can see up to 230 bhp. This thing is pretty awsome now pushing just a tad over 200 bhp and revving to 8000rpm. Solid reliability with huge potential for very cheap. The spread of useable torque is awsome. Mercedes W203 C200 D remap. Owner was complaining that the car has always been slow so he came to me for a nice 50 bhp boost in power! Very happy with the outcome although it took longer than usual due to all 4 if my obd tools not being able to write to it. Audi S3 firmware upgrade to latest dealer version and decat coded in. Rumour has it 2016 model tsi's suffer from premature turbo failure and VAG group will fight tooth and nail not to warranty this finding any excuse they can. However there is a firmware update for these cars which supposedly has some kind of change in the map (no change notes so who knows whats changed). BMW 335i. Relentless torque off this N54 engine after a remap. They are quick enough in standard form however, fixing some vacuum leaks and a remap later it becomes pretty fast for the road. So brutal we are convinced it has hybrid turbos as it makes power all the way up to 7200 rpm. Usually these tail off around 5500 rpm. #bmw #335i #tuningtechnics #e92 #boost #remapping

VW Golf R stage 1 remap. Instant 65 bhp boost in power which is the sensible limit for a stage 1 tune. Night and day difference over the standard tune which should have been like this from factory because lets not beat around the bush these cars are slow in standard form. Epic mini cooper track car with a 1.8t AMK engine shoe horned into it. Fully track prepped car bought to me for remapping as the owner wanted to squeeze more out of it now hes added 550cc injectors and a uprated actuator. Very tidy install with everything working as it should apart from the boost gauge being totally inaccurate...boost gauge says 20 psi but the map sensor says 15 psi. The old map was like an on and off switch so ive made it as linear as possible to help keep the traction round them bends. It has a LSD installed which makes this car defy gravity how it pulls into corners. Such a shame it doesn't have forged rods!!! BOLF GORA whatever you want to call it. TD05 20G 8cm setup with 575cc injectors ready for mapping. Initially set this car up on a safe map so he could run in the forged engine. Things were too good to be true when i had no issues at all until i dialed the boost in. 0.8 bar...added 95 percent duty....0.8 bar. Changed the n75...0.8 bar...wound in the actuator 2 turns...0.8 bar. Will finish this off once the boost issue is resolved.
