TURKISH FESTIVAL ON LONDON`S SOUTH BANK 2011

Turkish Fest London 2011 Description

Turkish Forum UK (TFUK) was founded in January 2003 by individuals who are residing in the UK, well acquainted with each other and sharing their vast experience and knowledge about both Turkish & British Societies and their culture.

Despite being formed very recently and proving to be a very dynamic and active organization with performing lots of fruitful activities within such a short time, TFUK has became a leading Non Governmental Organization established in the UK aiming to act as a bridge between Turkey, United Kingdom and European Union in Economical, Social, Cultural and Commercial areas.

TFUK works to gather professionals and academics seeking enhancement in social, cultural and economical co-operation between the members of the two societies.

This event shall consist of cultural, performing arts such as ethnic music, folk and traditional dancing, cultural arts, ethnic food and handcrafts. We also propose to transform the venue into a Turkish Bazaar with stalls serving the best of Turkish food, drink, spices, textile, leather goods music and crafts.

The pictures below were taken during the Turkishfest`s which took place on past years. This free annual event is organized by the Turkish Forum UK Trust, a charity which helps the Turkish community in the UK and which tries to promote good relations between Britain and Turkey. The festival is going to be held once more in the Potters Fields Park in London ( in between the Tower Bridge and GLASS Building).
