VEGAN Thai green, chickpea and vegetable curry!
Freshly made curry paste (all the bought in ones have fish sauce/shrimp paste in!) - using chilli's, lemongrass, ginger, kaffir lime leaves, basil, coriander and a bit of lime/lemon juice, for a fresh, fragrant and spicy flavour, mellowed out with coconut milk. Delicious!

We have never had a bad meal or complaint when enjoying a meal in this lovely friendly pub in Pett village. They have their standard menu which has all the normal pub menu that most people enjoy then they have their specials board with a few extra meal choices and these tend to be a little bit more interesting dishes, I would recommend the Sawyers to anyone who's visiting the area and to my local friends and family

This was not our first visit. We were not disappointed, great food and entertainment. The room was lovely. Think we have stayed in them all now and each are comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is the best, thanks to all the staff making us feel welcome.

User

This was my first time here and certainly will not be my last. The landlord and his staff are all lovely and nothing is too much for them. The food is outstanding,im drooling thinking about my belly pork that I had.The pub itself is adorable,a proper English country pub with a rip roaring fire to warm ya cockles.I have no hesitation in recommending this pub to everyone.

User

Such a great place to stay. Happy friendly staff. All working hard and with a smile. Food is some of the best I've had for a long time. The bed in the Elm room is like sleeping in a marshmallow. We will definitely return. The room was absolutely spotless and tastefully decorated. Facilities were great with fresh milk in the fridge rather than the horrible sachets you find in other places. Thanks for a great couple of days.

User

Perfection! Everything is spot on, lovely big room with tea coffee fridge with fresh milk. Food is to die for very generous portions, breakfast equally as good. Atmosphere is amazing. Thank you mark for a great new year. Every success for the coming year we'll see you again.

Just come back from a get away from the kids weekend with the wife, booked two Sawyer's on a whim, great choice, lovely old pub with comfortable rooms and delicious pub grub , the breakfasts were superb as well , lovely pub, location and staff , if ever down that way again wouldn't hesitate to book again.

User

Had Christmas lunch with my family , the food was excellent and the staff couldn't have been more attentive and helpful . We remained long after finishing our lunch and had a we all had a lovely afternoon / evening . If we decide to go out for Christmas lunch next year we will definitely return .

User

Great atmosphere, great food in beautiful Kent country side. We called in with our dog Ted and were made to feel very welcome. Both Thursday and Friday were very busy with a really lively atmosphere. We enjoyed the food and the grounds and will definitely be visiting again with our family to enjoy more of their lovely food.

User

Fab place, great food and friendly and accommodating staff. V enjoyable evening - a great find, well worth a visit. And the homemade apple and blackberry crumble was well worth the wait; a fresh batch straight from the oven - might even go as far as to say the best we've had (certainly the best my 5yr old has had ... Polished off the lot as we looked on in hope 😄)

User

Been here lots before but got to say our meals last night were exceptional and the new waiter was great . The stilton and chicken I highly recommend. See you all again soon thanks

User

A fantastic place,we stayed for one night the staff couldn't do enough for you the meal was lovely as was the breakfast and the prices were very reasonable. The room was spacious and very clean, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely little pub, the guvnor was a really nice guy and cares a lot about his clients, have a night there you won't go far wrong!

User

Great food and generally lovely people (one patron was regaling the bar with his drink driving record...) also good selection of beers and lovely traditional pub with proper open fire and dogs welcome 😊

User

Been here on several occasions today being my partners birthday everything was great apart from my daughter's fillet steak which at £20 you would expect decent melt in the mouth steak but unfortunately she got a rough end with lots of fat & tissue so it was chewy which you don't expect from a fillet , but staff took it back & off the bill no quibbles which was good , can't fault the rest of meal & staff
