#SaveTheChildren
In the lead up to Christmas our lovely instructor Emily hosted her classes requesting members to wear anything Christmassy to help raise money for a charity close to her heart.
She managed to raise a whopping Β£449.05 and a great time was had by all with some fabulous outfits on display in our photo gallery. Emily said: β€œThank you to everyone for your support. We had so much fun doing it!”
... Thank you to all those who dressed up and made a kind donation. Have a great 2019!! πŸŽ„πŸŽπŸ¦ŒπŸŽ…πŸ»

The 12 Days of #Yoga
Day 10: Beth πŸ™πŸΌ
"I decided to follow the Beatle's pursuit of spiritual enquiry by completing my Yoga teacher training in the birthplace of Yoga, Rishikesh, India. In India Yoga derives from the Sanskrit word 'Yuj', which means 'to join' in oneness."
... "Practising Yoga is a life-long commitment to physical, spiritual and emotional wellbeing and it's benefits are available to all ages, genders, races, nationalities, religions and of course levels! My natural curiosity means I have developed interests in spirituality, travel, philosophy, politics and people."
"My favourite asana is probably 'Eka Pada Rajakapotasana' Pigeon pose, the famous hip opener. Although this pose can be met with certain levels of emotion and discomfort, succeeding these feelings comes pleasant release, patience and peace."
"I currently teach a combination of Hatha and Vinyasa, I like to variate the 'flow' of the class, because while fast flowing Vinyasa is physically rewarding, holding postures for longer periods improves flexibility. I try to strike a balance."
Class Times:
Vinyasa: Tuesday: 1pm

The 12 Days of #Yoga
Day 9: Hannah πŸ™πŸΌ
"I first stepped on to a Yoga mat at 18 and loved it. During my 20s I went off and trained in various fitness formats and personal training, then Pilates and this Summer my journey came full circle as I completed Hatha Yoga training with the amazing Yvette Sanderson in Manchester."
... "I had already been teaching Fitness Yoga since 2017, so this was the ideal opportunity to immerse myself in both the philosophy and the asanas and complete the full Yoga teacher training."
"I love Yoga and I hope to share that and bring enjoyment to all those who take part in my classes. My favourite asana is Warrior 2 - Virabhadrasana 2: great for improving whole body strength, focus and balance."
"I teach Hatha Yoga and Dynamic Hatha Yoga. Dynamic Hatha is a combination of traditional Hatha and flowing styles, moving through flows with the breath and with some asanas being held to find improved alignment and focus."
Class Times:
Dynamic Hatha: Wednesday: 6pm Saturday: 9.30am (covering Piyo until March)
Hatha: Friday: 9.15am

We spent our 3rd New Years Eve here, at the family party. A few families get together each year and the kids are entertained with a bouncy castle and a kids entertainer while the adults drink and chat and then have a dance to the great music! The food is always lovely, and we all have such a great time.

We held a wreath making shop at the Tyherington club yesterday evening and the event was seamless. The staff were excellent and the venue was perfect. We will be holding lots of future events at this venue. Beverley Coghlan, Director (The Flower House).

User

Been taking it easy with lots of swims, steams, sauna & jacuzzi this week but this morning had my induction and realised I've got a long journey. Kelly was amazing, really friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She was very good at making my personal plan and explained everything clearly, even offered me a biscuit because I felt sick . Can't wait to push myself and see where I'm at in 2 weeks #excited #keepfit

User

We play here every year in a golf society and normally the course is immaculate, sadly not up to the usual high standards this year.

Some of the bunkers had little or no sand in them, a few even had weeds in the sand. It’s not great finding a bunker, even worse when there’s a weed behind the ball.

Although the weather has been hot for a few weeks, it seems the guys with the mowers have decided the best option is to cut the tees fine to the dirt, this results in bare rock hard tees that look like the Arizona dessert. I’m suprised a course of this standard doesn’t have a tee sprinkler system.

The same scalping appears on a number of greens, with quite a few bare patches to the greens. Yes the ball ran true but the pace is through fast dirt or slower grass.

Hopefully a glitch to the usual standard, looking forward to better standards next year.

User

Food good but too many snobs for my liking and untidy posh kids who leave the swimming changing rooms looking like a bomb site!

Swimming and gym prices too high!

User

Played in an Am-Am yesterday, my feelings on the day:

Food- Bacon was rock hard, the muffin was too

Coffee- Luke warm

Score card- names not on card when booked in

Nearest the pin marker- we had to carry this with us to put on the 3rd green, we were not even first out

Course- it was saturated, I had 12 mud balls, why it wasn't lift clean and place astounds me, also the greens were the worst greens I've putted on all year.....over 5 weeks after hollow tining

Overall a poor experience -Β£20 not well spent

User

Shocking.... Not impressed at all with this place ..... Rude staff. Food awful . Drinks very expensive, that's if they havnt 'run out' of your chosen spirit!
