About Ucl Institute For Global Health

The UCL Institute for Global Health (IGH) is a worldleading centre of research and teaching excellence in
global health, based in the heart of London.

Ucl Institute For Global Health Description

We aim to tackle the major health problems affecting
the poorest communities. As the strategic centre of
interdisciplinary global health research collaborations across
UCL, the Institute convenes and engages the breadth and
depth of expertise available across the university.

Our research, teaching and enterprise activities address the
broad determinants of health and the major causes of death
and ill-health. Our work ranges from tackling issues affecting
the most disadvantaged in society to addressing the major
challenges affecting everyone, such as climate change.

Equality and diversity are integral to our approach to
research, teaching and enterprise. We hold an Athena
SWAN Charter Silver award, are committed Friends of
Out@UCL, and champion all aspects of equality. Innovation
in equality is central to what we do.

We will continue to influence policy through our research,
teaching and engagement with communities and
policymakers and to impact national and international
guidelines and policy.
