Went with my immediate family as a guest of an uncle and we found it excellent. Menu had something for everyone, staff were great, friendly atmosphere. Came away with feelings of support for the club and all that it does.

We always stay here when visiting London. Reasonable rates, exceptional service with clean well kept rooms and comunial areas. The VC and other military awards wall is humbling to view giving an insight in to the histoty of the hotel and the military. Can’t say a bad word about this hotel.

User

This is our second stay. Absolutely loved it. Very secure. Food great and double en suite was excellent with 180 degree view of London. After doing a West end show why rush home. Back again in a couple of weeks with family. Can't wait.

This club is so good at what it does. I can't fault it. Location, price, cleanliness and service are all spot on.

Stayed here over the weekend for our anniversary and could not fault it. We stayed with dinner included the first night and can honestly say i had the best fish and chips I've ever had there! The fish was so nice! The breakfast had a great choice which would please anyone whether you want pastries, cereals or a full English...or All! The room was simple but spotless with little extras like hairdryers, shampoo and conditioner and shower gels. Will definitely be booking to stay here again!

Nice room, great food and cheap drinks.

Breakfast is amazing.

Nice place have been a member for 17/18 years on and off have been in the past couple of years for reunions etc etc and have had single accommodation which was great and worth the money but decided to bring my wife and son not being sure what they would understand about a hotel based on my past being military minded ? But I got a family room and booked for breakfast for both days we attended,my son and wife loved the rooms and breakfast and the fact we we’re very close to the underground and attractions (5 min walk to London eye plus tons of other things to do / drink) my wife and son spoke to many veterans and felt very at home and safe within there company which is always a bonus when unsure off your surroundings 👍

Just had my first stay at the UJ club. As soon as you walk in you notice a security desk on the left, so straight away it felt secure. It was then off to reception where I experienced one of the quickest check ins to date. Room was a double with en suite. The room itself was small & basic, but very clean.

We dined in the restaurant that evening & the food was very well priced & of high quality. Bar prices were very good too, but sadly they do seem to lack a bit when it comes to Gins, but that is me being picky.

Would I stay here again,,Hell yeah! In fact I've just booked a one night stay for when I'm up in London next. You can't beat the UJ club for location and price. I've seen a few comments saying that you could stay at a travel lodge for a bit cheaper. Yes, that might be the case, but I'd rather stay somewhere where everyone who is sat around me has either served or still serving in the Armed Forces, thus making me feel at home again. Also I bet those that stay at a travel lodge would sh*t a brick if they took a UV light with them & lit up the carpet

It’s the best place to stay in London if your with the family. The flats are fantastic very spacious with everything you would need, a home from home if you will. I haven’t been here for 25years until now, yet I still feel I have walked back into the Mess. Well looked after, the staff are great and the prices are fantastic considering you are in London. More to the point you are central to all the sights and next door to the trains. If you are lucky enough to qualify for a membership card I would highly recommend it you won’t be disappointed.

It really is a haven! Spent two weeks at the UJC and invited friends to stay/dine too. Excellent menu, fantastic service from attentive staff and the rooms would pass the most stringent inspection. I even ventured down to the laundry for some therapeutic ironing. Well done UKC. “I will return”.

User

Great stay as always, refreshing cleanliness and service.

However a minor point on the dress code in the Restaruant, someone turned up in a vest to dine which is really not appropriate. By the expressions on other diners I can say I am not alone with my concern.

Thanks to all who made my stay memorable.

User

Great facility in a fantastic location. The staff as always were very welcoming and attentive to any needs. A very friendly and enjoyable stay with a great atmosphere. Breakfast was again excellent. Thank you.

User

Good location! Great accommodation which was well maintained and very clean. The general decor was adorned with military photos, art work and historical displays around VC medal holders. Staff were helpful and the bar / restaurant were excellent value whilst providing a high standard of food! Overall an excellent visit - would thoroughly recommend a visit!

User

First stay for both my wife and I. Very impressed with the cleanliness and service. The restaurant staff were very good and the food, especially the breakfast, was excellent. The room was more than adequate and with access to Waterloo railway station, less than 100 metres away, the location is spot on. Also ideally suited for access to all the tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

User

User

User

Stayed 10/04/2018 and booked the room the week before for £69. If I wanted to stay at the Travel Lodge it would of cost £147 quid. Why play that price when you can stay hotel where the rooms are clean and tidy, great breakfast.

User

Just returned from a very pleasant stay at U.J.C. A big "Thank you" to all their staff with the exception of the rude, arrogant female blonde in the restaurant reception

User

Just returned from London and stayed at UJC we stayed in a group of ex service personal in three twin en suite rooms, the rooms and beds were very comfortable and spacious. The restaurant was excellent and service good would definitely recommend the UJC as very central to all points of interest and transport.
