University Of Surrey Fc Description
This is the page University of Surrey Football Club. On this page you will find information you may need about how to join and get involved with our club. You will also find information regarding social events, results, and other news such as transfer rumours.
The UoSFC have 4 teams which play games both on Wednesdays (BUCS against other universities) and Saturdays (local Mens leagues). The BUCS competition starts mid October so there is plenty of time for all players to make a claim for a spot in the sides.
We also have a 5th & 6th team that play 11 a side football in the Intramural league on both Wednesdays & Sundays against other University of Surrey societies. As well as this we run a 6 a side tournament on Tuesday evenings at a very reasonable price for students.
Information regarding freshers & non freshers trials for the following season will be posted in here in due course! Please come and find us at Freshers Fayre to find all relevant information and to get to know some of the lads. The trials are likely to be held on the following weekend after Freshers Fayre.
Social Events are a major part of UoSFC and we offer some of the best socials of any sports club at the uni! Wednesday's we often start at Bar Thirteen where we have our very own VIP area and drinks deals before meeting the other students in Rubix. Man of the Match & D*ck of the Day are presented by the captains of each team during the socials after BUCS games.
The social atmosphere is something we are very proud of within the club and encourage people to join the club socially as well as playing members! If you speak to nearly anybody who has been at the club for a while, they will tell you many of their best mates have been made through UoSFC!
Last year we had over 60 people attending the annual Colours ball, which is a prestigious dinner /awards evening for all the sports clubs at the university. We also had over 60 people on tour for a unbelievable week in Lloret de Mar! These numbers were higher than any other sports team at the University.
