URiBE is a London based fashion jewellery label led by design duo Sion & Tiffany Phillips. With a strong foundation in design and fashion, URiBE is defined by their unique backgrounds, heritage, and travel. Tiffany and Sion’s Chilean-American and Welsh roots, respectively, shine through in the inspiration of the line. Tiffany has spent the last ten years collaborating in accessories design at Lagerfeld’s Chanel, Maison Michel, Opening Ceremony’s Kenzo, Loewe and Atelier Swarovski, among others, while Sion has worked on branding, design, and advertising concepts for clients such as Stella Artois, Nike, and BMW.

Climate change is real.
As a lot of you are already aware, my hometown has been hit by a catastrophic category 4 hurricane called Michael. It hit the Florida “panhandle” last Wednesday the 10th and has left a path of devastation on its way out with winds up to 155 mph, tornadoes and heavy rains. A lot of people keep asking why didn’t anyone evacuate? Because this time last week, Michael was just a tropical depression- the kind we grew up with and loved because it brought big ...surf to the coast. Overnight, due to incredibly high water temperatures , this storm grew to a strength that marks it the 3rd most catastrophic hurricane to hit the USA in recorded history.
My parents are alive and well, and suffered minimal damage to our home. My parents business, dad’s dental practice, has been hit really hard in Lynn Haven, but they will soon get it up and running in order to give back to the community that has helped them all these years.
In light of this, and in order to funnel funds direct to where people need it most, my sisters and I have set up a fundraiser with a goal of $10,000 (USD) through facebook (link in bio) to donate directly back into the Lynn Haven community that has suffered the most in the wake of this storm. Power and water are unlikely to be up and running anywhere in the area for the next 2-4 months, one of our two hospitals is destroyed so medical facilities are limited, and thousands have been left homeless.

Kiyon and Rob had their first date in Kamakura 🇯🇵 where they went to visit temples and fell in love. Fast forward some years and last week Rob proposed to Kiyon in the exact place of their first date, with an #URiBEBespoke ring we worked on together. Through their numerology and Kiyon’s love for minimalistic URiBE jewellery, (along with making something suitable for her line of work using her hands), a beautiful 18ct gold, squiggle ring -adapted from one of our very early de...signs- was born.
Tanzanite, Sapphire and Amethyst cabochons are bezel set seamlessly into the curves of Kiyon’s engagement ring; each stone with a purpose, and hand crafted with love in the UK.
What I love most about our bespoke jewellery process is getting to know my clients on a personal level, to make something unique and relevant for their commission. With Rob & Kiyon we spoke for an hour on FaceTime earlier this year about their relationship, the distance between each other from the UK to Japan, their future and special details they wanted to share with me. I love this process, and in a strange way, playing a small part in their huge love story is fulfilling as it is inspiring.
