Went today first time and went for the £4.99 business 3 course lunch , soup was lovely , steak pie was lovely Hubbie had the roast of the day and ice cream to end , very good service and food was really good , recommend to anyone ,

Went to Velvet yesterday for dinner, the food was amazing ( I had the BBQ fajitas) and the staff were very attentive.. straight over offering more drinks as soon as you were finished. Will definitely be back.

Went for lunch yesterday & had a lovely meal & cocktail, was that good I'm going back tomorrow, the place is looking great & the staff are nice

Visited today for the 1st time for lunch. Menus very reasonable and loads of choices. Went for £6.95 menu. Mushrooms in a breadcrumb with side pot of garlic mayo to start with. Delicious. I went for steak pie. My friend had pizza. Could not believe portion sizes. Again delicious. We couldnt even finish our mains. Ice cream for dessert. I was so full I passed but friend had it. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Will defo be back and will most certainly be recommending it. Thanks for a lovely lunch experience :) X

Popped in a for a wee light snack and mocktail was seating fast and served quickly what a sampled was great good to see local people employed and manager Was lovely like the new decor also will sure to be back to try the rest the menu �

My hubby and I popped on for lunch 2day. The food was amazing. But the chicken pakora is the best I've ever tasted�. The girl serving us today was also top class�



Looking forward to a return visit at the weekend with the family.�

Just been in for lunch and it was fantastic, the food was delicious. The staff are really nice and helpful and decor to a high standard. I will be back especially for those cocktails and will be highly recommending ��

Hubbie took me out to pics, hey big spender .. well first of all as he had been in before with his pals said to me enroute Im a bit peckish, 44" waist by the way ladies a disgrace. Anyway cut to the chase, lovely little cosy place which was bright and modern. Menu straight to the point would suggest would suits most types, but was good. Surprising so so was the bill. Bar looked niced I think maybe talk to the girls at work for a night out to try some of their cocktails.

Had dinner here tonight for the first time and it was brilliant. We were seated very quickly when we arrived. Starter, main & dessert were lovely. Had 2 cocktails also. The guy in charge is lovely, took the time to have a laugh & blether with us. I’ll be back soon x

3 course lunch and cocktail was delicious, just what cambuslang needs, highly recommend, great food, great drinks and great service

Lovely decor since re-opening. Food is delicious, cocktails great. Staff very attentive. Our food came very quickly. Our waitress was 'Laura' from Yorkshire and she made us laugh and feel very welcome-the kids wanted to keep her I think. Really enjoyable visit.

Just had three courses in here service is spot on staff very pleasant and professional

Sharing starter was very nice �

Mains were very good �and the sweets were delicious �����

The people of halfway are so lucky to have such a great eating place on the doorstep

I pointed out an issue with Billy one of the owners and was very honest in his answer and explanation, as for the food it was very nice and its the first time I've not finished a meal. �

As for the decor it is very refreshing but as someone else pointed out, the squinty picture is gonna be a nightmare for the OCD brigade � � �

The food was OK but me my mum. And daughter went mine and mum's meals were served 40 mins after ordering it took further 20 mins for my daughter food to be served after saying several times that hers still wasnt served so me and my mum had eat ours bye time my daughters came we went out to eat together and that didn't happen so had to send my daughters back as me n my mum had finished which ended up with me having to take my daughter to mcds. And 3.65 for a pint of draft coke is a rip off

I appreciate the place was newly open when myself & my family visited but the place just seemed to be chaos! Order wasnt taken correctly , had to ask for missing items 3/4 times. There was 4 different waiting staff attending to our table and it was evident there was no communication between any of them. I think taking the time to allow the staff to gel and get to know their place beforehand would have made a massive amount of difference. Saying that , the food we did receive was lovely , even if it was received in dribs & drabs , and it was fairly priced. Havent been back since although had these issues to be rectified then id gladly come back

I would like to come and test my (new) local restaurant but where are all the vegetarian options? Only meat options on the menu, or something with cheese. It is not actually very hard to make a vegetarian burger with some nice chips etc. Vegan ones would need more efford but usually every restaurant can offer at least one proper vegetarian option. Points for the decoration though it looks nice, maybe I should pop up for a couple of drinks some evening.

Won't be back for food !!!! Went when it first opened greasy mushrooms unwashed sauce container with remnants of previous sauce on it. Went back a second time got the sharer which had chicken wings with a sauce in which I couldn't even figure out what flavourings the sauce was meant to have it was sweet sour peppery spicy and jam like all.in one disgusting macaroni that was grey and revolting I messaged the page and was apologised to and offered a free meal as compensation and in all honesty we went back as I thought was teething problems and the meal we had that night was lovely. However went again today wish I hadn't even bothered my wife get the bruschetta which in all my years of eating Italian food I have never came across a bruschetta like it cooked onions and tomato which were greasy and soggy and made the bread soggy tasted more like a hotdog with onions then I had Lasagne which was nice but got garlic bread which I couldn't swallow it was literally garlic paste in top of bread and heat up soggy and potent. I was offered a replacement however kindly refused as couldn't even face trying it again. However the discussion on the bruschetta was replied to with well that's how they make it you know not to order that again well by the amount of food that I have tried in this establishment and not liked and therefore won't order that again doesn't leave with much options left now does it. They have a few good points the curries are good and the cocktails are required lovely the waiting staff are friendly. But after now the fourth or fifth time of being in I won't be back for a meal. Perhaps a drink but not food. I wasn't going to write a negative review but it has annoyed me the response oh well that's the way it is attitude in the middle of us trying to finish what we had on our plates and debating on how things should be cooked. Even had the audacity to say the stuff we like he head chef cooked and the stuff we didn't like the trainee cooked well I am sorry but no food should be leaving the kitchen wih put he head chef checking it and agreeing that it's the best it can be I mean for crying out loud that is his job



And then the response that has been allowed on this is ridiculous

Well just left,had the £15.95pp offer,after being gave the normal menu,with the £6.95 offers ect,then to be told that we couldnt choose from this menu,as it was sunday!! chicken pakora for starter,dry as a bone,then had what i would call a chicken balmoral,but they called it chicken caladonia,omg disgusting raw thick bacon,then the chicken breast inside was pink!!didnt eat it,waitress came and could clearly see that i hadnt ate it,offered us dessert,which we refused as the main put me off!!
