Exciting times as the DC5 arrives at the Bodyshop and is handed over to the experts Lee Quigley and Luke Moon for them to get started on bringing the car back to its former glory..
Preparation work is well underway and as well as removing somewhere in the region of 42 car park dents 😮 they’ve also found time to seal and protect the freshly rolled rear arches as well as a healthy coating of gravitex to prevent any rust issues in the future..

😳 STRIP CLUB 😳
It’s another DC5 update!! Yesterday evening the Integra arrived at SR Autobodies for some attention from Tobi and company..
At 7:30pm work commenced and at 1am this morning the car was ready to load up and embark on its journey to the Bodyshop for a fresh coat of Vivid Blue Pearl..
... In that time the car was stripped of bumpers, lights, wings, spoiler, skirts and all manner of bracketry..
The great news is that although the existing paintwork on the car had seen better days, the chassis and body on the car are clean, solid, and free from any major corrosion.
The rear arches have been taken back to bare metal to ensure no rust was hiding and to give the opportunity to roll the lips and accommodate the newly spaced OEM Wheels..
The rear panel was displaying an amount of surface corrosion. This has been addressed, ground back and treated with Rostisol to prevent any return in the future as well as removing brackets for shot blasting and powder coating before re-assembling..
Several under bonnet brackets and mounts have been removed for treatment due to the usual salt and road grime that manages to make its way under the bonnet, with these back in place the engine bay should look as good as the exterior suggests..
An intermittent issue with one of the OEM Honda Xenon lights was traced to a poorly section of wiring which has also been rectified and the car is currently en route to the Bodyshop.
We will try and bring you some updates on things as they happen as well as some links in the future to a vlog of the evening session of work from yesterday.

The team at Ralph Hosier Engineering have created this animal of a project!!
Honda's UK arm on Thursday unveiled two radical modified Civic Type Rs. The first, a creation by Team Dynamics Motorsport, features a number of performance upgrades that boost output to about 400 horsepower, and it looks a little racier than before. That's all well and good, but it's the creation from Ralph Hosier Engineering that deserves your full attention.
... Ralph Hosier Engineering is hard at work creating an off-road Type R. Yes, that's right, a hardcore street Honda has been rebuilt for the dirt and mud. It's still in the works, but the focal point of the modification is a lift kit that raises the body more than four inches while still retaining parts of the stock suspension geometry somehow. Out back, there's a unique trailing arm and modified transverse links.
In order to actually handle the dirty stuff, this front-wheel-drive pseudo-ute wears a set of 255/55R18 BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, which are wrapped around lightweight wheels with a style derived from rally cars. It's some wild stuff, even if it's still in development..

🚙 INTEGRA UPDATE 🚙
With the mechanicals all taken care of it’s nearly time for paint on the project Integra..
The car will be stripped of it’s bumpers for some minor repairs and some fresh fixings, the headlights will be restored and treated to some fresh Xenon bulbs, rear lights removed and the all important OEM Honda gaskets replaced to avoid water ingress..
... With all that done the car will be getting treated to a full respray in the original Vivid Blue Pearl before being reassembled and having new badges and decals fitted..
We’ll be sure to keep you up to date with progress as it happens so watch this space..

🔋2020 JAZZ HYBRID SPOTTED TESTING🔋
We’re excited to present some early information about the upcoming Hybrid Jazz, due for release in early 2020, as well as some spy shots courtesy of Autocar magazine.
The next-generation Honda Jazz will use the dual-motor hybrid system as seen in the CR-V hybrid when it launches next year.
... Due to be unveiled at the Tokyo motor show in October, the top-selling Honda model in the UK is expected to be the first in the brand's line-up to only offer a hybrid powertrain. This follows Honda's announcement that all of its models in Europe will become hybrids by 2025.
Honda have said: "Ahead of its 2025 electrification goal, Honda will expand the application of its i-MMD dual-motor hybrid system, with the introduction into smaller segment cars an important first step."
Currently, the only model offered as a hybrid is the CR-V. Petrol variants are also sold. Honda UK has seen great success with the CR-V Hybrid, which accounts for 60% of the model’s current sales.
Following the launch of the hybrid Jazz in 2020, the next electrified model will be the Civic in 2021.
The CR-V Hybrid pairs two electric motors with a 2.0-litre petrol engine. However, given its smaller dimensions, the Jazz will likely have a smaller combustion engine and less power with greater economy.
The spy shots pictured here, which show the new model testing in disguise, hint at a minor evolution for the fourth-generation Jazz. The space-maximising upright profile and tall glasshouse remains, but with more curved lines and redesigned lights, bumpers and bonnet.
