Village Soho

About Village Soho

The Village has become a firm fixture on Soho's gay scene since opening in 1991. The Village was the first of its kind to be opened in London and since then there have been dozens of bars who have copied its successful formula.

Village Soho Description

The Village really does offer something for everyone 'all under one roof'. The upstairs 'Soho Bar' dance floor is where all the snap crackling pop, chart and commercial dance action happens, with residents Heidi Liscious & Robyn Banks, plus our gorgeous gogo boys on the bar! Descend into the basement club, where you'll find the best in chunky funky deep house & tech with the cream of London's dance scene DJ's, Paul Heron, Gordon John, Massimo Paramour, JJ Gullo & Gonzalo Rivas on rotation. Through to the 'Cafe bar' you'll find a more relaxed vibe with lots of seating & comfy booths. Further more, head upstairs to the new 'Cocktail Lounge' where you'll find another bar with luxurious booths, chandeliers and a stunning view of all the action right up Old Compton Street. Happy Hour every day from 17: 00-20: 00 - 50% off cocktails & selected drinks!

Love this place, came here with a big group of friends straight and gay, male and female, had a fantadtic night with no problems or attitude. Always head here when in London

User

Nice bar tenders and ok dancers. Bathrooms are bad but no different than most bars.

User

Love the Wednesday vibe which has a real buzz and friendly crowd

User

Toilets vile. Dancers pathetic.

Invest money in toilets utterly vile.

Dancers on who were if you said ugly you would be insulting ugly!

Don’t bother with this place!

User

This place is shit. Security people are really rude and they dont know how to handle people. I was dancing and i broke a glass by accident and they treated me like a criminal taking me out of the place in a very aggresive way.

I absolutely not recommend this place because of their disgusting securiry stuff.

User

The toilets are disgusting also the dancers well 1 was ok but the young muscly one well he looked as if he didn’t want to be there! Don’t dance in a gay bar if your straight!

User

Rude door staff let me in then questioned my sober husband and accused him of either being drunk or on drugs . So we walked to side door and was let straight in . In protest we argued the toss and walked out how one door man can act so differently is beyond me. Terrible attitude this used to be a number 1 venue. Pubs are a dying trade you need to keep those that support you not alienate them. Soon it will be a cafe and u have yourselves to blame

User

Misogynistic, sexist, disgusting place. Avoid! If I could give it one star I would! Never in my life have I experienced such discrimination. Came here for a drink on my birthday. With four girls and my boyfriend. They took one look at the girls, my boyfriend was talking on the phone. They then said we could not come in because my boyfriend was to drunk. (he doesn’t drink). When I challenged them about the blatant sex discrimination, they then stated they would not let any more people in because they were closing soon. So we turned around. As soon as we did they let a group of guys in. I would suggest avoiding this place, there are so many bars/clubs in Soho that are professional and friendly. It is clear this bar is not one of them. I have never written a one star review in my life, the experience was so bad I feel even one star is to much.
