The Vintners Place Fitness Team would like to introduce our new Fitness and Wellbeing Advisor Rory Porter. He joined us on the 24th of October and will be with us full time. He is available for PT sessions and programming. He will also be teaching a variety of classes for us, Rory has over 2 years working in the industry with a variety of clients, his background is in the boxing ring where he competed at ABA level. #WelcomeAboardRory

QUICK ARMS WORKOUT!
The weight you use depends on your strength. Use weight that you can just about do 10 reps with - you shouldn't be able to do 11 reps. 60 seconds rest between all sets.
1000m row warm up
... Biceps curls & Tricep extensions on cables - 3 x 10
Overhead tricep extensions - 3 x 10
10 dips using reebok step or bench - x3 rounds
10x shoulder press, 10x press ups, 10x burpees - x3 rounds
X-trainer cooldown & stretch!

Here's my personal list of meals I bring in a container: *Turkey mince chilli con carne & sweet potato mash *Garlic & herb chicken breast, runner beans & carrots *Steak chunks, broccoli & spinach *Salad with ready-cooked peppered mackerel or tinned tuna... *Salmon & easy to make cous cous (Ainsley Harriet packet) *Butternut squash curry with brown rice *Meal replacement shake if ridiculously tight on time
& IN BETWEEN SNACKS: *Blueberries/Banana/2X satsumas *Greek yoghurt with a little honey *99kcal pack of popcorn *GO ahead! Raspberry bars *Cashew nuts - in moderation
I make a large portion to bring into work and eat half and half throughout the day. Costs me around £20 a week for 5Xlunches, 5Xdinners and snacks. Each meal less than 30mins to make... No stress. Easy peasy.

If you’re a 'grab-and-go' type of person at work and end up eating junk or lots of carbs every meal - pre-cook your food and bring it in a container! Don’t kid yourself, it is possible. No one has the time to do these things, you have to make it.

Feeling a little under the weather in these minus degrees temperatures? Lemon water is a great way to give your immune system a boost (due to vitamin C). Also, if you drink a warm cupful of the citrus water first thing in the morning, your body's digestion can improve and is a great way to re-hydrate the body after 8 hours of no water-intake. Bon appetit, you bunch of lemons!!
