Vision Film - Black Cinema Club

Vision Film Club is a new exciting weekly black cinema
event led by Menelik Shabazz in collaboration with the
Bernie Grant Arts Centre .

Vision Film Initiative
The Vision-Film-Initiative (V-F-I) is a collaboration conceived and inspired by film-maker Menelik Shabazz and delivered in partnership with the Bernie Grant Arts Centre (BGAC). It is an umbrella concept for 3 strands of film related activities intended to activate the production and consumption of Black cinema.

The Vision Film Initiative will cover activities across three strands:

Film Festival (BFM IFF Summer 2015)
Black Cinema (Fridays)
Film-Makers Networking Club
The BFM International Film Festival 12th Edition is being re-launched by its founder Menelik Shabazz.

The Festival will feature black world cinema, documentaries, animation, shorts as well as industry workshops and seminars.

The Black Cinema is a monthly screening event that creates a platform for the work of local filmmakers as well as the work of International producers with Q& A’s and discussions.

The Film-Makers Netowrking Club is a support forum for screenwriters, directors, producers and technicians. The Club will be a space for networking, mentoring, exchange of ideas as well as production support.
