was here last week Friday lunch time with some work mate's . must say the bar staffs where friendly, food came out in time and was hot too and they did a check up on us half way to see if we ok and need anything. we sure be coming here again.

What an unreal night! Travelled from Brighton and had the weekend in Essex, was treated so well by all members of staff, and made you feel welcome! Had a great night, cheap drinks and good music! Would higher recommend!

We actually come across the walk about by accident, we originally popped In to the slug and lettuce a cross the road for a drink after an afternoon of shopping, we were standing at the bar for at least 25 mins before any one even acknowledged us, then the bar staff kept serving every one els but is, eventually after waiting 40 mins at the bar still being ignored we left and see the walk about.

Walked in, Amazing atmosphere, great feel, walked to the bar, acknowledge and served straight away buy a super friendly server.

Only had time for a drink but wished we had lunch as it looked amazing will definitely be back �

The place to watch sport! Smiley friendly staff! The bearded manager served amazing cocktails!

The food is very nice the staff are very helpful and I will always go back there.��

Thanks for looking after us all on our work party last night at Walkabout!! �

Really great atmosphere everytime I go in, always a warm welcome and all the staff are amazing! Never a dull moment and the entertainment is next to non! Will be returing again and again! �

My friend wanted to pre drink here before going clubbing in Chelmsford for her 23rd birthday we ended up joining 3 friends birthdays and celebrated their 23rd and 24th I emailed to reserve us a table and see how much a bottle was etc... they not only gave us a table for free they gave us complimentary prosecco, round of shots and decorated it for us gave us the choice of cupcakes or actual cake and then there were super good drinks deals on as well that night all the birthday stuff was free which is insane we had our own choice to buy a bottle of spirits or just drinks at the bar so everyone just bought their own... nowhere treats you like that not even if you pay hundreds in a club on a Saturday night so thank you so much for making us have a memorable night. Thank you for putting up with us even with our annoying friends pretending to be djs all night lol. X

I won a booth,champagne and shots for my birthday weekend ! From the moment we walked in , nothing was too much trouble and the manager alicia was so lovely and friendly! Me and my friend had a brilliant evening and would recommend to anyone , the champagne was yummy too ��x

I went last night to watch the love island final with some friends. We ordered some food and drank quite a few cocktails, both of which were great value for money, the cocktails were also on an offer which was a bonus! Great venue to go to for friends looking to catch up, and the staff are all really friendly too �

I think it's the best place to chill and have lunch. You can watch Aussie footie. Or u can sit and enjoy the view upstairs. The food is so delicious. The staff is really nice and helpful. They look after you the whole time. I'm coming back for more.

I entered the tag a friend competition on Facebook where I tagged my friend who due to us both having family and work commitments we hadn’t had a night out together in three years. We were lucky enough to win, Vikki who helped me arrange a night to redeem our prize was amazing even on the night she was so attentive and so was rest of the staff. We had an amazing night and we are looking forward to our next visit.

Had a fantastic lunch, couple of drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. Really friendly team that made our party really welcome and feel nothing was an issue. When I'm next in Chelmsford I'll be sure to visit again

Had lunch there on Sunday at 12. Thought we'd try it out given it was new. As you can imagine was a fairly quiet time. The roo burgers were overcooked and dry, which was a disappointment. Need to train the staff how to cook burgers and keep them juicy. Beer was nice though.

Plenty of sports screens but that's the only good side, 20 punters, 3 bar staff, who served nearest not next. 15 minutes to get a drink then get charged central London prices just cos it's a WALKABOUT. Still the loud drunks who think it's still a wetherspoons. And that's at 3pm

Pleasant staff, but not enough of them in the kitchen - nearly an hour for food to arrive, and it looked as if it had been under the heat lamp since we ordered it!

Food was nice but was disappointed how long the food took to come and was told 40 minutes even for a dessert I would understand if the place was full but was more than half empty. If you can sort out this problem would be worth a return visit.

First time here yesterday and food was edible but very poor! It was like someone who hadn’t been cooking very long just knocked something up without care or any thought 👎🏻 The menu looked good on paper but in person was a let down. Everything else was fine 👍🏻

Absolutely horrendous service from the manager (large guy with a beard) today. Five of us (including my two year old) went in for lunch. We ordered at the same time. It took half an hour for three of the meals to come out (the food was actually ok) and then my parents waited an extra 20 minutes before asking what was going on, only to be told there was a problem in the kitchen and that their meals were on the way. Another 20 minutes went by and still no food. My partner, daughter and I by this point had finished our meals. My dad went to speak to the manager and ask for his money back. Absolutely no customer service skills, he just said "fine".. he gave my dad the money back for one of the meals and my dad asked about the money for the second meal and the manager just said "yes wait" very abruptly. Never seen anything like it. This has put us off ever coming back. This chain needs to invest in some employee training. (Or the manager needs to find a job where he doesn't have to deal with the public?!?!)

£4.45 for a bottle of Budweiser we saw them bring over in crates from Tesco and was warm...... place is a joke

Shockingly slow bar service. People not being served in turn. 20 minutes standing at front of the Bar.

Service is poor, the food is poor and the staff are incapable of putting orders through a till and apologising for their fuck ups #imout

Had a fantastic lunch, couple of drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. Really friendly team that made our party really welcome and feel nothing was an issue. When I'm next in Chelmsford I'll be sure to visit again

It's ok . Foods alright, prices can be great. But slow service and sometimes grumpy staff

Had lunch there on Sunday at 12. Thought we'd try it out given it was new. As you can imagine was a fairly quiet time. The roo burgers were overcooked and dry, which was a disappointment. Need to train the staff how to cook burgers and keep them juicy. Beer was nice though.

Plenty of sports screens but that's the only good side, 20 punters, 3 bar staff, who served nearest not next. 15 minutes to get a drink then get charged central London prices just cos it's a WALKABOUT. Still the loud drunks who think it's still a wetherspoons. And that's at 3pm

Pleasant staff, but not enough of them in the kitchen - nearly an hour for food to arrive, and it looked as if it had been under the heat lamp since we ordered it!

Food was nice but was disappointed how long the food took to come and was told 40 minutes even for a dessert I would understand if the place was full but was more than half empty. If you can sort out this problem would be worth a return visit.

First time here yesterday and food was edible but very poor! It was like someone who hadn’t been cooking very long just knocked something up without care or any thought 👎🏻 The menu looked good on paper but in person was a let down. Everything else was fine 👍🏻

Absolutely horrendous service from the manager (large guy with a beard) today. Five of us (including my two year old) went in for lunch. We ordered at the same time. It took half an hour for three of the meals to come out (the food was actually ok) and then my parents waited an extra 20 minutes before asking what was going on, only to be told there was a problem in the kitchen and that their meals were on the way. Another 20 minutes went by and still no food. My partner, daughter and I by this point had finished our meals. My dad went to speak to the manager and ask for his money back. Absolutely no customer service skills, he just said "fine".. he gave my dad the money back for one of the meals and my dad asked about the money for the second meal and the manager just said "yes wait" very abruptly. Never seen anything like it. This has put us off ever coming back. This chain needs to invest in some employee training. (Or the manager needs to find a job where he doesn't have to deal with the public?!?!)

£4.45 for a bottle of Budweiser we saw them bring over in crates from Tesco and was warm...... place is a joke

Shockingly slow bar service. People not being served in turn. 20 minutes standing at front of the Bar.

Service is poor, the food is poor and the staff are incapable of putting orders through a till and apologising for their fuck ups #imout

was here last week Friday lunch time with some work mate's . must say the bar staffs where friendly, food came out in time and was hot too and they did a check up on us half way to see if we ok and need anything. we sure be coming here again.

What an unreal night! Travelled from Brighton and had the weekend in Essex, was treated so well by all members of staff, and made you feel welcome! Had a great night, cheap drinks and good music! Would higher recommend!

We actually come across the walk about by accident, we originally popped In to the slug and lettuce a cross the road for a drink after an afternoon of shopping, we were standing at the bar for at least 25 mins before any one even acknowledged us, then the bar staff kept serving every one els but is, eventually after waiting 40 mins at the bar still being ignored we left and see the walk about.

Walked in, Amazing atmosphere, great feel, walked to the bar, acknowledge and served straight away buy a super friendly server.

Only had time for a drink but wished we had lunch as it looked amazing will definitely be back �

My friend wanted to pre drink here before going clubbing in Chelmsford for her 23rd birthday we ended up joining 3 friends birthdays and celebrated their 23rd and 24th I emailed to reserve us a table and see how much a bottle was etc... they not only gave us a table for free they gave us complimentary prosecco, round of shots and decorated it for us gave us the choice of cupcakes or actual cake and then there were super good drinks deals on as well that night all the birthday stuff was free which is insane we had our own choice to buy a bottle of spirits or just drinks at the bar so everyone just bought their own... nowhere treats you like that not even if you pay hundreds in a club on a Saturday night so thank you so much for making us have a memorable night. Thank you for putting up with us even with our annoying friends pretending to be djs all night lol. X

I won a booth,champagne and shots for my birthday weekend ! From the moment we walked in , nothing was too much trouble and the manager alicia was so lovely and friendly! Me and my friend had a brilliant evening and would recommend to anyone , the champagne was yummy too ��x

I went last night to watch the love island final with some friends. We ordered some food and drank quite a few cocktails, both of which were great value for money, the cocktails were also on an offer which was a bonus! Great venue to go to for friends looking to catch up, and the staff are all really friendly too �

I think it's the best place to chill and have lunch. You can watch Aussie footie. Or u can sit and enjoy the view upstairs. The food is so delicious. The staff is really nice and helpful. They look after you the whole time. I'm coming back for more.
