Me and my friends visited this venue from Wales been to a few places in Colchester , but had the best time in Walkabout! Very friendly staff happy to help with our booking and even gave us VIP treatment in the booths! The manager was very friendly and overall amazing atmosphere for any occasion! �

Love this place.. The door staff friendly and professional, Bar staff fast and Efficient. The management really have made this place the #1 place to be in Colchester �x

Love it here!! The venue looks amazing and the bar staff are super friendly. Great for a night out and the new food menu is awesome. Will be coming back and highly recommend!

Great priced drinks. Staff are LOVELY and HARDWORKING especially when dealing with difficult customers and during busy hours like games and packed nights out. My friends always want to watch the football games etc at walkabout. Any problem that arises is dealt with effectively by staff and they always put their customers first.

Great DJ's, good drink deals and perfect atmosphere. Walkabout never fails to make sure you have a good night!

Alright I suppose � brilliant bar team and kitchen team - Honestly some of the nicest people I’ve had pleasure of working with. Overall it’s good. Also management are absolutely perfect. And even the receptionist can be alright when she cracks a smile �

Recently started going out in walkabout! It’s a brilliant night out on a Saturday! Only reason for the 4 star is that Eddie the dj has been replaced which is a shame because he was frickin awesome! Otherwise it would have been 5 stars!

I was in the walkabout and me and my friend had 3 rounds of drinks and when we played 3 different prices for are drinks this was on Saturday for the football

Good cheap pub food but drinks a bit expensive.

Choose the venue specifically to watch the football Saturday night (Germany v Sweden) and they had Cricket on the screens and only put football on when we repeatedly asked even though they advertise having it on at the venue and have World Cup Flags everywhere !?👀

Was supposed to open at 1200 on Saturday. Opened at 10 past, even though members of staff were playing on the gambling machine. Saw them through the window whilst we were waiting for the door to open. No apology given.

In town night out walkabout need to sack there dj seriously every two seconds cut there tunes u get into one song and boom into the next worst dj ���and slow service tho friendly

Worst service. Tried to order a drink at the bar, bar lady walked off with my ID, when she eventually came back I was told that she thinks it’s fake so has given it to bouncers. No explanation given to me as to why but when my brother asked she said that it was a full license and red/pink but that is the colour of the provisional. She obviously knows nothing about IDs which is worrying considering her job. It was 8.30 in the evening and my first drink but she was immediately defensive and rude. When I spoke to the bouncers they told me they were checking it, couldn’t tell me how and were not interested in checking if I had any other ID and eventually just threw it back on the counter. No explanation. No apology. When I got back to the bar to order my drink again, the bar lady (different to the first) double checked with the lady who took my ID to see if she was allowed to serve me. Again no apology for the delay or rude service I received. Me and my friends were in a VIP booth, with a free drink. These shots came before all of this hassle and no IDs were being checked then. I understand how important it is to check IDs but do not believe the rude treatment that I received was acceptable.

Went there with my friend her 2 daughters daughters boyfriend n there daughter ...

Had a £20.00 platter for 2 me n my friend the chicken skewers were un cooked, beef burgers were burnt ,.. the pork thingys were not edible , salad was crap � the meat tasted of burnt apparatus it was cooked on it was disgustingly atrocious the others all had burgers it was all terrible n we headed home n ordered pizza n watched the World Cup final in home comforts ... don’t eat here !!!!!

Went there for lunch today, very quiet yet still waited 40 minutes for our food. I had a avocado and halloumi wrap, it was basically a wrap with lettuce and salad. 3 tables that ordered after us got their food before us. The coleslaw was brown cabbage and some grated carrot.

The steak was fatty and over cooked.

The bar staff used their fingers to put ice in my glass.

Not impressed at all!
