Lovely breakfast here .. been for dinner too sometimes they can be a bit slow .. but they seem a bit understaffed at times .. food is lovely .. deserts are definitely a challenge!! But you can take them home with you ! Definitely be back .

Friendly welcome and world class service, would travel from Newcastle every day to dine here. Thanks to the lovely staff, great food and all round family atmosphere. ��

Firstly - The staff are friendly and very welcoming and greet you as you arrive take you too a table and get you seated. Always service with a smile. They have a kids area where they can play and chill out while waiting on food, fantastic idea.



Secondly- Been here for breakfast a few times and each time its been lovely and for the price good value for money! And the dinner service has been fab, plenty choices too chose from especially for the picky eater. Children's menu is also good choices my children love it as a fortnightly treat when we go out for dinner it's their favourite place to go. Food always arrives hot and no request is too big, always come too make sure everything's ok, always fresh and haven't had too send anything back as it's always on point.



Thirdly - They have a family only section and means kids can play and meet new friends which is fabulous haven't seen this anywhere else. Also nice open space too move around isn't too cramped and nice atmosphere all around. The place is always spotless and toilets are clean and food is amazing I'd recommend it too family & friends as I says were every fortnight. Brilliant place.



Keep up the great work, staff are great with the kids too always saying hello and service with a smile very family friendly.

Been coming to this restaurant for years, the carvery is great value for money, the service is great, and, of course the food is my favourite part-time especially desserts! :)

Was here today for lunch for the first time..... not impressed with the food I was served.... luxury macaroni cheese basically consisted of a bowl of melted cheese.... the service was ok just not impressed with the food.

Visited here Saturday afternoon, drove a few miles to purchase the raspberry cheesecake to take away.Compared to Linwood Farmhouse Inn the portion we received was very small in comparison and not good value for money at over £4 per slice.On tasting it wasn't the best if I'm honest .Very disappointed. Portion size is clearly smaller than it used to be.

Here today for lunch. When I ordered several Carvery lunches I was told “we only have turkey is that ok?”. Well actually, no not really as the Carvery is what you are renowned for. Extremely disappointing! We have eaten in Wallace Well numerous times and never been disappointed but unfortunately today we were.

Have been here loads of times and food always been lovely but yesterday 19th June I had lasagna and the pasta was solid I couldn’t even cut it,my son and partner had the carvery and the beef was really chewy and tasteless,we were really disappointed, I will say the girl Angela behind the bar was lovely

Booked this venue for my mum's 75th birthday organised to have table set up on arrival it wasn't even set up plus was seated in kid play area next to screaming kids had to be reseated food wasnt to clever if it wasnt cold it was over cooked really disappointed in service for money i spent will definitely not be returning

We visited last Sunday. We had to wait over an hour in the queue for the carvery, and got back to the table only to find we didn’t have enough cutlery, and one of our group had to go find more. We then ordered desserts, and were waiting for over half an hour - at which point we asked to speak to a manager who put a rush on our cakes. The standard of service was terrible. We complained to the manager who was very understanding and fully agreed that our experience was completely unacceptable. She advised that this was due to staff shortages and did refund part of our meal. We have noted a decline overall across our past few visits and this concurs with the theme running through the majority of recent reviews. Until there is a dramatic improvement overall we will not be back.

Visited today at around 2pm for my graduation lunch with my family. Resteraunt was lovely however the food was not great at all beef from carvery was tough and dry. The gammon very salty , roast potatoes tasted like they had been made with alcohol . The lasagne was over cooked and the beef and ale pie was very dry with not a lot of gravy in it . The southern fried chicken goujons were really nice though . Unfortunately i will not be visiting this resteraunt again .

Usually, I am very happy with this place! I even had my birthday event there in December. But today it was shocking! First of all, the person serving looked like he should be retired or close to it and later found out he had just started! Like say what?! He got our order wrong three times. Fist mistake!



We then went to get our carvery only to find out there was zero turkey. Now as much as I appreciate that it has to cook thoroughly etc., we should have been told at time of order that there was no turkey and we would have to be prepared to wait. We weren’t! Second mistake!



Mum went to talk to the manager about the wait, he shrugged it off with a mediocre apology. Third mistake! In this instance, given that we were not informed at time of order, we should have been 1) told how long we may have to wait, 2) been offered a complimentary drink or 3) offered a full refund. Mind of that was offered! Fourth mistake!



I started to feel sickly as unfortunately for me all I eat is turkey from the carvery and I had to get a refund on mine and leave. I then asked to get a can of diet coke to take away, imagine my shock to be charged £2.05 for a CAN?! After the complaints it should have been given free of charge! Fifth mistake.



Dealing with complaints and customers in the way this manager did is NOT the way to run a business! It’s I doubt we will be back now, at least definitely not in the summer by any means. Continue to run the business in such a manner there will be no business soon! Absolutely ridiculous!

Unbelievably poor service today.



First of all the order was wrong. It was only a baked potato and nachos, but mistakes happen and I didn't mind so much that it was wrong...my issue was the service recieved after.



Despite the fact the staff realised early on it was wrong...it took 20 mins for , what I presume was manager, to come out. He gave my friend her baked potato...it had clearly been sitting out the whole time and they bunged it in the microwave. We could tell cause the salad was warm and the butter portion was melted. As my friend was 8 months pregnant she decided to just have it and not complain as she was starving. The manager told me I was charged for garlic bread rather than the nachos and he would have to make a change on the till.



When he said this I assumed he was putting it through and I would get my nachos soon. 15 mins later he abbruptly came over and said 'ehhh are you coming to the till to pay for your nachos'?. By this point my friend had finished her lunch and I was a bit taking a back that he had waited all this time for literally a £1 difference in price between the garlic bread and the nachos. Giving the time waited you think this could have been waived.



When I asked the manager if he could understand my frustration he just said 'ive said sorry'. And gave me a refund..so after an hour of sitting in Wallace well I left with no lunch and went home for a can of soup. Giving the state of my friends baked potato the soup was probably better than anything they were serving.



Could have been so easily recitifed and I wouldn't have minded the wait but the attitude was appauling.

This used to be a great place to eat! It has seriously went down hill! Today will be the last time I ever eat there! Customer service shocking! When you order a meal & one thing isn’t available you tell the customer, you don’t just bring the meal with said item missing! Then wait for the customer to complain & ask do you want something else!

Shocking service tonight. We arrived just after 6, we were told bit of a wait for a seat, understandable Sunday evening. Got seated and bought tickets 6.42. We then went straight to carvery to then wait nearly 1 hour for food. To then find no roasters, gravy and pigs n blankets burnt to crisp. Spoke briefly to what I think was manager who assured us she would come to table. After waiting bout 15 mins from finishing food and 2 hours approx since start of entering for meal we gave up. Would not recommend here.

Place has gone right down hill was in tonight waited over an hour for our meals and when we finally got it was clear that our order had been forgot and been under a heater to keep warm, when we got it our food was burnt it was clear to staff when they brought it too table the poor girl who I gave it back too was actually embarrassed at what we had been served.

Has gone downhill...last few visits food has been cold.. .was there friday and quess what food cold again CARVERY so took it back and spoke to chef...he stirred hot plates about and then tossed roast potato on counter for me to try....no thanks.. served me my turkey and I served myself with potatoes and veg while waiting for yorkshire to be heated...made no difference still not hot...would not take carvery again...on the plus side my grandchildren enjoyed the disco..
