'The bolshy confidence we built up during our five-hour getting-ready sessions slowly eked out of us while we waited in line with a hundred girls who seemed more sophisticated.' The regularity with which @czaronline GETS US in her whipsmart debut would bother us, were it not for the following line: "I never thought I'd have seen someone's penis twice before even getting their phone number" Plenty of copies instore, the ideal summer read ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒท

'In life you'll meet a lot of jerks. If they hurt you, tell yourself that it's because they're stupid.' This and other affirming quotes in our August #FeministBookClub, which will discuss Marjane Satrapiโ€™s masterpiece. This graphic novel - which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year - paints an unforgettable portrait of daily life in Iran and of the bewildering contradictions between home life and public life. Friday 3 August, 7pm - all welcome.

We had a brilliant evening here, the staff were helpful and friendly. A nice bookshop and a good place to hold a writing event.

Spent a great evening at waterstones ttc rd last night for a screening of the Blue Room. The host who was not only a bright and keen barman one minute then came to host the screening. We later had the delight of all talking to the son of Georges Simenon, Jean who does a grand job of keeping this great and dark writer current. And I must mention his interviewer Tom Brown made me laugh. Thanks for fab night

Lovely place and very nice crew. Great to grab a sit and read, chat, have a drink or watch any of the amenities organised. Absolute fan of this peaceful & cultured corner in the middle of the city.

Love this branch of Waterstones. Popped in last week to pick up my copy of author @Siobhancurham 's "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow" on publication day, and it was there on the shelf waiting for me. This has to be the most welcoming and also the most beautifully designed bookstore I know. The basement is fantastic for book launches and any other book-related events!

User

It was a great branch. The staff were helpful and prompt. Will certainly be there again.

User

I love this store, books, coffee, alcohol!!

Favourite branch ever! Cafe/bar and books? Genius! Also the staff are more relaxed than the main branch.

Fantastic place for a book launch! Launched 'I Have No Secrets' here last night. Lovely area downstairs with bar, friendly helpful staff. Great atmosphere and lovely canapes!

User

Absolutely lovely place! Visited with my sister today, had a browse and got invited to the book club. Don't live in London but looking forward to visiting again when I can! (With more money for more books...)

User

Finally found out why I hadn't received an email about a book on order. Fortunately they had five copies in such an obvious place I missed them! On the way to email the friend who wanted the book, I discovered that the cafรฉ sold beer!
