We make a positive difference in the education we deliver for the 1, 200 students aged 11-18 who study here, by successfully creating opportunities for our students to achieve high academic results whilst still affording them a platform to extend their personal qualities, talents and interests. Our ethos values and nurtures individuality not stereotypes. Our curriculum engages, enthuses and sparks curiosity. This prepares students for the competitive world as it develops intellect and stimulates personal confidence and resilience.

The Kaizen Teaching School Alliance, for which we are the Lead School for, has been formed to meet the priorities of all our schools to create a more valuable learning experience for all our learners

Year 11 Students and their Parents at Weald of Kent had exceptionally good news to celebrate on GCSE results day today. The Students demonstrated how well they have coped with the new exacting exams, with 99% achieving Grade 5 or higher including Mathematics and English. 58% of students taking the new style GCSEs gained a top grade of 9 to 7, including 12% who achieved an amazing grade 9. In addition, 56% of those who took subjects that are still graded alphabetically gained A*/A.

Maureen Johnson said how proud she was of all the students who have achieved a bumper set of A level results. She added that it didn’t seem that long ago that the cohort started at the school and now Year 13 were leaving with some extremely well deserved top A level qualifications. She also thanked the Staff and Parents who have tirelessly supported and encouraged the Students through a particularly demanding two years when nationally A level courses have been totally re-vamped.
The number of student gaining A*/A is the best ever in Weald of Kent’s history at 38%, with 73% of all entries achieving A*/B. The 169 strong cohort achieved an average points score of A- per academic entry.

English Schools Track and Field Championships 2018 - Birmingham Alexander Stadium.
On Friday and Saturday 13th & 14th July 2018 Weald of Kent had three students make the journey to Birmingham Alexander Stadium to represent Kent in the National Championships. Sam competed in the Senior Boys 2000m Steeplechase. Noemie in the Inter Girls 1500m steeplechase and Caitlin in the Junior Girls Discus. All three students have been training hard all season to run and throw the qualifying times for their events. Their hard work paid off when all three were selected to compete in the Championships for Kent. Well done to all three on your successes!
