Wartime Christmas, Sunday 16th December 10am - 4pm. Why not come along and soak up some WW11 Christmas atmosphere, watch professional flower arranger Heather Shaw create some period festive arrangement's...these will be on sale throughout the day ...proceeds raised will be split between the Marie Curie Cancer charity and the We'll meet Again Museum charity.

We had a second visit from a young man today, he came a few weeks ago, since his visit he has been pestering his dad Gary to bring him back again...Gary has been finding notes attached to the fridge just to remind him about another trip to our museum...thanks for making the long drive from Nottinghamshire...nice to see you both again!!

We had a visit this week from Andy and Callum Burn (writers and producers of forthcoming movie Lancaster Skies) they came with the flying helmet worn by the flight engineer in the film to help complete our display at the museum....thanks guys!!

User

Linda and I would like to say thank-you to all our loyal museum volunteers today, a huge thank-you also goes out to the veterans and visitors for attending our act of remembrance service at 11 o'clock, Des Portas (Royal British Legion) did a superb job of delivering the service on such an important day.

User

We would like to say thank-you to Peter and Angela Pimperton for making these stunning arrangements for remembrance weekend. X

‭What an amazing place to visit!! Our two children who are aged 6 and 8 loved it, especially, the cockpit and the blitz demonstration. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere, which is created by every person who works there, as they take time out to speak to every visitor and make them feel welcome. The toilet facilities are spotless and the cafe is a great place for a cuppa and slice of cake. Will definitely visit again!

You can get hands on with the items too, well done Paul on your collection, it’s stunning!!

What an absolute gem in the middle of our countryside.

Very welcoming owners and staff. You’ll need to spend at least 2 hours here, there is so much to see and do, as well as the lovely cafe. A great time was had by all. Thank you everyone involved.Take a look to see if you can see the sea.As well as the RSPB. Only £4 for concessions for museum.

User

Went to this museum today and was really impressed. The staff are very friendly and helpful and put their heart and souls into this museum. Very well laid out and great knowledge of all the items. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to all who enjoy world war 1 and 2 history

Visited your amazing museum today with my son and his partner. ...WOW a fantastic place so much to see and listening to different real life stories. Looking forward to returning next Sunday for the vintage weekend and bringing my grandson. Well done to all involved we loved it.

User

Visited today, 13/10/18, absolutely brilliant experience, everything about ww2 is here, very educational, the blitz experience is very emotional, the sounds, explosions, something to think about when its playing on how the people of London went through, certainly opened my eyes, well worth a visit, highly recommend.

User

Took my two grandsons yesterday aged almost 11 and 7 and they absolutely loved it. We were made to feel so welcome and Paul was so good with them. Got to try on the uniforms and sit in the Lancaster cockpit. See photos in comments below.

They were mesmerised by the collection, fantastic.

A lovely toasted tea cake and hot choc in the cafe after too. All very reasonably priced. A must to visit !

My Husband and I visited the Museum today and we must say we loved it. I have been looking into my own Grandad's WW11 service records which has lead me to have an interest with The Lincolnshire Regt and The Royal Tank Regt.

Going around your displays made me understand the era of living in Wartime Lincolnshire a little more seeing as my Grandma worked in the fields during this time and she often use to tell us she saw Lancasters returning to bases in the early hours of the morning with their engines on fire and praying they would get back safely.

This museum heped put some more pieces of the puzzle together and will tell many remarkable peoples stories for a long time to come, which is priceless.

We would also like to mention Josh, he was a great person to talk to and is a great asset to your museum and his generation.

May you continue your great work and hope you see you again soon.

User

Me and my family visited from Australia at the start of this and were blown away by the museum. Would highly recommend to anyone who’s in the Boston area or even just passing by.

User

Just came back from visiting this morning and Wow! What a fantastic place!! Everyone is so friendly even saying hello to my 1 & 3 year old.

I really liked that the volunteers and the owner were in home guards uniform which I thought was a nice little touch.

Everybody is so informative, we got talking to a volunteer called Josh (an extra 5*) his information and facts is extraordinary and nice to see someone so passionate about his role.

The cafe is lovely place to grab a drink and bite to and not expensive.

The blitz experience is definitely a good insight into what civilians went through during the blitz, a huge well done to Paul (the owner) your hard has definitely paid off!

I honestly can not recommend this place enough, for children and adults of all ages, A fantastic place to visit and we'll definitely back again

User

Had a brilliant visit yesterday to this up and coming museum. The staff are very helpful and friendly and it's one of the few war museums where you can handle many of the exhibits and how many do you know where you can sit in a make up of a Lancaster bomber? well laid out and a lovely Tea room were you can actually get a ordinary coffee but I understand they are getting an all bubbling and hissing coffee machine :-( As the name says We WILL meet again Sergeant .

User

Gipsey Bridge Academy paid their second visit today. Once again, an excellent experience for all concerned and pitched at exactly the right level for our upper KS2 children. Sarge, Mrs Sarge, Private Hammerton and the Royal British Legion volunteers were extremely knowledgeable and so welcoming.

A truly brilliant experience - whether you are a school or a family - pay a visit, you won't be disappointed.

User

Finally visited today after meaning to for months!! Absolutely loved it. My Mum thoroughly enjoyed it as did my two children (11 and 8). The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and the knowledge and passion they have for the place is infectious. We'll definitely visit again!!

User

Called into this amazing WW2 Museum in Freiston today, what an absolute joy. The authenticity and the abundance of information both from Staff and the well documented artefacts on show took you back in time. If you've not been you really should it's for all ages. They even hold special days for tuition for Schools and Groups. The Cafe is a real gem too and very reasonable. Paul and Linda are two very dedicated people that are so interested in this era they make it come alive for people

User

Brilliant ! A must see. My teenager son, whose concentration level only spans "Football" was "Enthralled" with the exhibits and wonderful interaction with the helpful staff there. The Blitz experience added to a memorable day. We "Salute" you We'll Meet Again, for keeping the memories and stories alive, from those dark days of our nations history. Less We Forget.

User

An amazing visit on Saturday to the museum. Paul & Linda & the other volunteers couldn't have been more friendly, accommodating & understanding with our 9 year old who has Autism & got spooked by the wax mannequins wearing the gas masks. We will be back again & would highly recommend this museum to everyone. We all enjoyed our visit, informative, educational & fun. See you all soon. x

User

Absolutely amazing place! Such a warm & friendly welcome by everyone we met, so nice to meet people with such a passion for something so important! We donated some really old wartime newspapers & other wartime memorabilia & I'm so pleased to know that they will be looked after with such tlc! Can't wait to visit again!! This little diamond of a place needs lots of support to keep these unique memories intact! So I strongly recommend everyone to go visit, you won't be disappointed!!

Thank you everyone involved.Take a look to see if you can see the sea.As well as the RSPB. Only £4 for concessions for museum.

Visited today, 13/10/18, absolutely brilliant experience, everything about ww2 is here, very educational, the blitz experience is very emotional, the sounds, explosions, something to think about when its playing on how the people of London went through, certainly opened my eyes, well worth a visit, highly recommend.

Me and my family visited from Australia at the start of this and were blown away by the museum. Would highly recommend to anyone who’s in the Boston area or even just passing by.

Finally visited today after meaning to for months!! Absolutely loved it. My Mum thoroughly enjoyed it as did my two children (11 and 8). The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and the knowledge and passion they have for the place is infectious. We'll definitely visit again!!

Brilliant !

See you all soon. x
