Please share! All welcome to come along to this Wikipedia Workshop at the Royal College of Nursing Wales HQ in Cardiff on 15 January!
Have you ever wondered why so few nurses appear on Wikipedia? Well, now’s your chance to change this! At this one day event, you will gain the skills and knowledge to start adding RCN presidents, general secretaries and other influential nurses missing from Wikipedia. Through this, we aim to raise the profile of nursing on the online encyclopa...edia used around the world.

Two years into my PhD, and the Wellcome continues to be my favourite library of all time. Amazing on-site and digital resources, a wonderful and incredibly helpful staff, and a peaceful (and air-conditioned!) work environment. Thank you for being so patient with a slightly disoriented Swedish PhD student!

The Wellcome Library is an amazing resource that many visitors to London don’t know about. If you’re a historian of medicine and health, or just curious about the subject, then this is your nirvana! The Library collections have some fascinating rare items (e.g. Francis Crick’s notebooks on the DNA double-helix, anatomical works by Vesalius) but lots of more recent works are also available - medical students should find lots of interest. The staff are passionate, friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Like most publicly accessible libraries in the area the Wellcome Library gets very busy around exam season but most of the time there’s plenty of space to spend a few quiet hours. Well worth a visit.

User

The TOP PLACE in the world for the study and research of all aspects of medical science and history. My time there was well worth it.

User

My favourite place. Well thought out resource where humans impede on the work of researchers only when necessary, but when they do, it's so rewarding.

User

I highly recommend for the scholars, who are studying on Burmese Manuscript in Konebaung period, there is the excellent collection for those manuscripts and painting.

User

For those interested in the history healthcare you couldn't find anywhere in London that even comes close. Suspect that goes for much of the rest of the planet but willing to keep an open mind. Knowledgeable staff and a very accessible stock in comfortable surroundings. Good copying facilities.

User

Was attending a conference but on going to reception sent to wrong place twice. Food and drinks expensive

User

I tried to activate my Wellcome Library Account but there's always a problem and I can't download the article I wish! Very bad! For your research don't use this site, use Gallica-BnF, it's better!!!
