Westminster Chapel Description

For many generations we have known the privilege of being positioned in the very heart of London, one of the most exciting cities in the world. We have sought to teach, train and equip believers in the understanding and working out of their faith so that they can positively impact and change their world.

Our vision is to build a loving community of Gospel-centred people, full of love for God, for one another, and for the many new people who come here every week.

We love people of all ages and backgrounds, and welcome children, young people, students, young professionals, families, the elderly and everything in between! There is something for everyone at Westminster Chapel, and we'd love for you to check out our church and see for yourself!

Have you packed for Westpoint yet?? Remember, if you want us to take your bags, tents, sleeping bags etc. on the van, you need to bring them to church THIS SUNDAY!! Any later than this, we can't guarantee that we'll be able to take it.
If while packing you have brain freeze, here is a list of items Chris Hymers is taking: tent, sleeping bag, pillow, towel, sleeping mat, walking shoes (or wellies), flip flops, rain jacket, cap, thick socks, 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of trousers, sunglasses, suncream, water bottle, coffee flask, torch, undies, warm jumper, toiletries, note pad and pen, bible and any medication.

Thankful for some wonderful guest speakers over the summer! This Sunday we're welcoming Malcolm Kayes to Chapel. He'll be continuing our Commission series, focusing on core leadership values. Can't wait!

We loved having the mighty Mick Taylor with us this morning! #wordandspirit #truthandgrace #wearecommission

Complete the sentence: “My life will really begin when I______________.”
Here are some answers I’ve heard people say: “marry that special person”, “pass my exams”... Many believers put their lives on hold until some future event happens and miss the importance of what God’s doing now.

We're excited to have two interns joining us for 2018-19; one of whom, Leslie Nutakor started this week. We asked him how it's going so far. His response; "I've discovered that coffee helps." 😂☕ It sure does. #internlife #tiredalready #justyouwait Going to be a fun year. Leslie, it's great to have you on the team!

We are pleased to be welcoming Mick Taylor as our guest speaker this Sunday. Mick will be continuing our Commission series (westminsterchapel.org.uk/commission-can- together/) and looking at the core beliefs that Commission churches (like Chapel) hold.

We've just finished our series on Galatians, and it's been freeing for so many! In his latest blog post, Howard shares how this series, and particularly the final message impacted and inspired him to get creative.

Can you spare 1 minute help us celebrate what God is doing in our church?
Our study of Galatians has been life-changing, stronghold-breaking, freeing for so many. And we've still got two weeks to go!
We'd love to hear your personal story about the ways God has set you free so we can celebrate on the 29th July (the last message in the series).
... Tell us your story here.

The ancient letter of Galatians has had more impact on this world than almost any other piece of literature. One of its greatest messages is how the good news of Jesus unifies anyone and everyone that believes in Him. It brings people together from all backgrounds and cultures. • • As part of our services we’ve loved explicitly celebrating that and having our eyes opened to the numerous different cultures and wonderful people represented here in our weekly gatherings.• • So far we’ve prayed for the Caribbean, Korea, Ireland, Brazil, France and Hungary. Today Sola and Biola prayed for the nation of Nigeria. 🇳🇬

The atmosphere is like in no other church.I felt presence of The Holy Spirit there for the first time in my life and it's going on and on and on :-).Lovely people around as well which is very important when you're looking for a place where you can feel safe and welcome.

User

Spiritually refreshing with an unmistakable presence of Jesus. Preaching that while culturally relevant continues the direct Biblical appeal of prior historical figures who occupied this pulpit.

User

Lovely place. Kept its old structure with modern look out side. Well looked after. Great people as well.

User

Location is at St. James Park. Lovely atmosphere. Architecture is simple. Amazing entrance.

User

It is a sweet and cosy Chapel with a very distinctive characteristic in its own right in Westminster when you consider it stands amongst all its bigger neighbours such as the Abbey at one end and the Cathedral at the other.

User

I truly felt the presence of God in there, I discovered this Chapel through RT Kendall who preached there for many many years

User
