It's with great sadness that we share with you the news that we have lost a member of our pub family this week. Tony, a friend to everyone, quizmaster extraordinaire and a much loved character in our town, will be sorely missed by us all here at The Good Intent. There is always a warm welcome at The Good Intent. Lou and Dan run a friendly ship. A great choice of beers and spirits, Good, no nonsense food and regular music nights make the G.I a really great pub

Lovely tradition pub. Friendly people, great music and fine selection of gins, ales and other beverages. Looking forward to next visit very soon. Highly recommended.

I went to see lucky 13 on Saturday night. Had never actually been to The Good Intent before but what a lovely pub with great staff. I will definitely be returning.

I was reminiscing around Petersfield on Saturday and popped into the Good Intent for a drink.

I loved the feel and ambience of this 16th Century inn and my pints of london Pride served in a traditional jug were perfect.



I would certainly return as the menu looked delicious and judging by what I saw coming out of the kitchen that seemed to be the case.

A proper olde inn

I stayed at The Good Intent in Petersfield during the week almost every week while working in Hampshire for six months. Life has changed a great deal at this beautiful little inn over that time but I cannot recommend it enough now! Lou, Daniel and their team (Andi, Adam, Kieren and Keith) go out of their way to ensure that your stay is a pleasant one. It was my second home and I was made to feel part of the Good Intent family. The accommodation is comfortable and the food delicious. I will definitely be going back to visit for pleasure rather than business when I can. Thank you everyone xxxxxx
