New Exhibition Open!!
You can see something a little different in our East Gallery as of today thanks to Art Bambw Gwyrdd and their Chinese Brush Paintings. Their calm and colourful artworks show local and exotic scenes all painted in a traditional Chinese style.
The group will be here to demonstrate their techniques on April 26th and you can even try it for yourself!

It was very nice to have 2 artists with us today from the Bargoed And District Art Society. Their exhibition is with us until March 16th, which includes further in formation about the group, such as where and when they meet.

Members of the Bargoed And District Art Society will be painting new pieces in front of the inspirational views from our activity room. Come along and chat with the artists and find out more about what they are working on, how and why. Be sure to see the group's exhibition in our gallery space!
Saturday 2nd March - drop in from 11am, Free of charge.

Just in time for St David's Day we'll be making some Welsh themed craft items, so come along and celebrate your Welshness!

Staff are on leave tomorrow (like in this photo from our collection) so the museum will be closed for the day. See you from Friday when we're back to usual opening hours.

Time for a change! Our new exhibition is a collection of over 100 paintings by members of Bargoed and District Art Society. It is the first of a number upcoming art exhibitions in our East Gallery. This is a slightly different direction for us and it allows us to change the gallery space more often. We will also be hosting more activities for adults and families as visiting artists will be putting on workshops to give our visitors chance to find out more about their work and pick up a few new skills by having a go themselves. We hope to see you soon!
