We stayed in an En-Suite Lake View Lodge and it was a stunning view out of our lodge, staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service, my partner fished and thoroughly enjoyed his experience fishing at WoodLands Waters. Very peaceful atmosphere and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay will defiantly be coming back, thank you for a memorable family holiday

User

Stayed in one of the rooms with husband and our daughter. Great bed and a lovely shower. Beautiful settings throughly enjoyed. Will definitely return for a longer stay in one of the lodges. Great customer service too

User

Stayed at Woody's for the first time this weekend as had my wedding. I stayed in a lodge and it was beautiful. I've been to Woody's quite a few times for drinks and food, the staff are always very friendly. But this weekend I feel that they have gone above and beyond to make sure myself and our guests were happy. Thank you once again for everything.

User

Love this place I been fishing here for a few years now normally for about 4-5 days at a time and its great.

The lakes could do with some lillys reeds or a floating island ect especially the specimen lake as theres no real features other then the main island.

And a couple of prize fish would be nice 40/50lb. But this can be lived with.

The bars nice to nip over for a pint and something to eat ect.

The only downfull is that there isnt any toilet block on the far side of the lakes and its a good 10 minute walk to go if your busting.

Not very good for disabled/elderly anglers.

Other then that perfect

User

Love it here. We are currently staying, and the only tent here 💝 It's the only place I'll come to with my partner. We've never had a problem and we get on well with some of the staff who live here. It's friendly and clean. Never ever had a problem here and we will continue to come back! Roll on August xxxx

User

Just had my 2nd 7 night stay in a lodge for fishing and booked for next year while there. Plenty of fishing but fish are on steroids haha.only fault was the weather....just too nice so had to fish late and into early morning boohoo. Bailiffs very eager to assist if asked and woodys is great.

User

Go most weekends in the summer. Lovely peaceful break. Ideal just to wind down for a few days.

User

Booked a 2 night stay in our motorhome. What a delighful experience it was.Beautiful scenery.Selection of fishing lakes to choose from.Lovely woodland area for a walk the dog loved it to.Staff very pleasant and helpful.Childrens play area and lots of space inbetween pitches.I would highly recommend this site and cant wait to return.

User

We stayed here after picking our new caravan up from Grantham Caravans as they paid for a night and we decided to stay another - lovely site and breakfast was great, lovely coffee! The bar in eve seemed good and the grounds was lovely, toilets and showers where good and clean on our visit. Will definitely go again. A little gem

User

We don't stay here as we live in the Village. Been coming for years occasionally either walking the dogs or meeting up with family. Went yesterday and although very busy with a full camp site and a wedding, had awesome fish and chips and a cracking pint of real ale. Keep it up 👍

User

Nice and peaceful, even on a busy bank holiday weekend, loads of room to spread out. Clean and tidy. Will definitely be back. Think they are missing a trick by not having a shop on site and maybe canoeing in one of the lakes? Happy.

User

Good nite fishing and if ya want theres a pub on site that doo smashing food ..!!

User

This is a lovely site and we come quite regular, the only thing is you spend half your time switching the electric bk on, and yes I do turn everything off before I put kettle on , so frustrating!!! but we still come bk

User

So Another bank holiday weekend spent at woodland waters, now don't get me wrong we have been coming here for the past 8 years’ multiple times a year for the weekend/bank holidays, and we will continue as long as it starts to go back to the way it used to be and does not continue to decline in what used to be a solid 4 stars

But as each year goes by there seems to be a few things going downhill, The camp site is great, the pitches are nice, the non-electric camping field also is perfect (getting slightly over crowded now) ,

But my concerns are with regards in health and hygiene

1) Why the shower block & toilets are never cleaned in the evening or very early ready for the morning rush, so when you go for a shower (I’m talking from 6-7am) there is dirt all over the floors and never any paper in any bathroom due to the crowds in the evening after a few beers (Men and women) both with the same problems.

2) Also the bins are always overflowing on the 2nd day, but seem to be left until the Sunday evening or even Monday morning to start to be taken away (not very nice smells on a HOT bank holiday)

3) Bar bathroom left in a disgusting condition, to where both stalls were overflowing with you know what, not what you wish to see when your half way thru a mix grill.......

Very simple fixes to get back to an almost perfect weekend getaway

User

Lovely site. Fishing is poor. Lack of fish in both big lakes. Bailiff takes your money and says good look. Not helpful. Dont go as often as i used too. Just told owner is bothered with lodges and caravans not stocking the lakes

Very disappointing ... need several tonnes of fish putting in

User

Lovely setting with the lakes and plenty of space to walk the dog. Woodys bar very good as can take dogs in back room.wasnt too keen on toilet block. Was a bit smelly when u walked up to it. Showers nice size but water hits curtain and not you!! They cannot be altered as it is a fixed shower head on wall. Pitch was lovely as it was one of the few hard standing pitches. I would maybe come back but not for a while

User

Fabulous site over looking the lake but really needs the toilet/shower blocks sorting out. Every time I went in them the floor was dirty into the showers and looking at the chart they are only cleaned once a day !!!!! for this many people there should be a cleaner coming along at least 3 times in peak season. This campsite would definitely be 5 stars if they could sort this out. Get your act together Woodland Waters it looks like I am not the only one saying this.....

User

Live locally Woodys restaurant is great.

However we stayed over last night & it was so peaceful. What let our stay down was the lack of hot water for our morning shower. It was less than luke warm.

I rang to complain & all I got was a 'sorry'!

Where was the customer service I asked myself?

Unfortunately it has put us off visiting ever again.
