I am a parent/volunteer for my daughters Daisy troop in upstate New York our girls have chosen the country of Jordan for world thinking day. I was hoping we could possibly contact the girl guides there to have being to talk to them about what girls guides is like for them. I am a Guide leader from England. This year to celebrate World Thinking Day we are holding a camp for our girls and it would be amazing if we were able to skype/facetime with girls or a unit from another country.

Happy World Thinking Day to all of our Girl Guide & Girl Scout sisters from Girl Scout Troop 3032 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA!



Our troop had its own World Thinking Day international smorgasbord dinner and sleepover last weekend.



The girls each chose a country to study and prepared their own presentation about the country and its Girl Guiding/Scouting program. The countries we studied were Albania, Switzerland, Japan, Brazil, Russia France, Italy, Chile, The Bahamas, and the United Kingdom.



We also did activities for the GSUSA World Thinking Day and Girl Scouts Global Action patches. Finally the girls presented information about their country’s Olympic athletes and the sports the countries participate in to earn a Winter Games patch.

Guides in the uk hasn't got as good a rep as the scouts who now let in girls and it's a shame the Duchess has decided to promote them instead of us. Girls only is a great safe place to allow young women to nurture and grow, discover themselves, find adventures, learn skills and life friendships. Hooray for WAGGGS �

Girl Scout Troop leader of Cadets in Sacramento, California. We are doing Finland for World Thinking Day this year, it's really interesting learning about troops around the world.

I love Guiding and l have been impacting the lives of girls in my community back in Nigeria for about ten years now, the online leadership programmes are awesome but l have difficulties posting our activities especially during WTD events on the WAGGGS's page.
