My partner and I stayed here the night as our flight out of stansted was very early. The staff at the yew tree were amazing! Booked our taxi for us and went absolutely out of their way to make our stay perfect and the restaurant was fantastic! Manuden is a beautiful little village and was so peaceful. We would 100% this place to anyone!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening last Saturday to celebrate Valentine's. The food was delicious & the service attentive. It was relaxed and comfortable - we liked it so much we booked to return with our families on Mothering Sunday. We look forward to it!

Amazing place for afternoon tea, food was fresh, hot sausage rolls were a hit. Topped off with a glass of chilled prosecco �

A pleasant, relaxed feel about the place. Enjoyed a reasonably priced meal and a few drinks. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.

Lovely stay at The Yew Tree last night staff and customers really friendly , we really loved treacle and toffee two beautiful puppies belonging to a customer.

Rooms and pub clean and the evening food was really good , portions were big ,the cooked breakfast was massive. The only snags we found was that the food service was really slow particularly at breakfast and we were glad we had left plenty of time to get to the airport, the bar was quite chilly ,a menu at breakfast would have helped us choose better and pots of tea not a teabag in a cup would have been nicer.

But despite these small details the stay was good and we would go back again .

Lovely room, lovely location, nice selection of draught beers. Ideal for Stanstead airport but however breakfast service was a tad slow so make sure you give it plenty of time if you are catching a flight.

Great couple who are both welcoming and focused on quality. I wish them well with their new challenge and would urge all locals to be supportive!

The place is very attractive..

No employees showed up for the " included breakfast"....we helped ourselves..the kitchen was gull of dirty dishes from the previous eve.

Stayed here last week room was pretty and nicely decorated but toilet leaked and room was very cold, shower head was also hanging off the ceiling. Rooms have the potential to be very nice and price was very reasonable just needs a bit of love and TLC but I know it has recently had new owners so I'm sure they will get it ship shape in no time.

The new management have been in place for six weeks. On first glance they appear satisfactory in their eagerness and optimism althought it's evident there is still a way to go. However, I am not at all convinced that the small improvements will be maintained. Consistency is lacking in both service and the the quality of the meals. Up an down is not the road to success. Very sad. John Sivorn.

The Pub was nice but dining room very dark the light bulbs had not been replaced. They said breakfast box was in our room but it was not, we had to ask for it. It consists of two small cereal boxes one was coco pops not really suitable for adults over 60 two pastries again one chocolate one Jan one butter two cartons small milk for cereal. There was no one on site at night after the pub closed.

Room dirty, damp, and kettle leaking - reported but not replaced. Man behind bar, new manager I think, tried his best but fighting loosing battle.

Lovely meal but the room (1)) had nowhere to put clothes and bits and bobs, needs a dressing table type of thing. The plug in the sink failed to stay down so shaving a pain. We woke up to no hot water and no-one was on reception until 10 am! We were frantic because we had to be at a wedding in Saffron Walden at 1pm. Eventually we were given another room just vacated to shower in. One guy was very shirty with us "I'm aware of the problem but I'm not a plumber". Poor. Apparently the power keeps tripping for that room - SORT IT!

Walked to the pub for lunch today around 1:15 with my 15 month old as states on website they are open 12-3 Mon-Sat. Doors locked, no one around and no signs to say why they were not open. Had to take a hungry and grumpy baby back home! Not a good way to run a business or be attractive to the locals!

They've 'stolen my money' - a legitimately cancelled booking, but they deducted the cost of the room over a month ago and have repeatedly ignored any email I've sent or telephone call I've made.

Disgraceful behaviour, unethical business acumen!! -- all for the sake of a measly £55.

I tried my hardest to resolve this issue but talking to a brick wall obviously gets you no where!
