Rose garden located just 6minute walks from the hostel, towards Museum of London. If you are up for a short evening walk and looking at pretty flowers. It’s in the ruins of an 18th century church, which was bomb during WWII.

YHA St Pauls is a great place to stay. The location is fantastic, with lots of restaurants bars and shops nearby. It is very close to the central underground station so easy to go into central London in a matter of minutes.

The Hostel is excellent and the staff are all friendly and helpful. It is very clean throughout, including the rooms, showers and toilets. I couldn't find fault with anything. I had breakfast there, you can eat as much as you want and it was really tasty!

There's also lots of information about things to do in London which is paramount if you're having a short break in the capital!

User

We stayed one night with our two young children and it exceeded all expectations. Rooms were clean and comfortable, shower and toilet facilities clean and plentiful. The staff were amazing, breakfast was full of lovely choices. The main thing that I was most reassured about was the security, you needed a card key to get around the place. Just brilliant and so reasonably priced, we will definitely use YHA again but in the meantime thank you to YHA At Paul's for making our stay easy.xx

User

I have stayed at yha St. Paul's a number of times. It's very convenient near a significant site historic and religious, with old and new art. Also very quiet and safe. The mixture of single and multi person rooms means it suits all sorts of ages and party size. Staff are always helpful and every 'is smoothly run. Thank you

User

Fabulous base for visiting London. Clean and tidy. Great breakfast. Ate evening meal too. Would visit again

User

This is a super youth hostel, friendly/helpful staff (they let me park my bike in their courtyard), clean, great reasonably priced breakfast, my dorm was roomy and fairly non-stuffy and it’s in a terrific location. So why not 5 stars!? In my dorm at least the street noise was pretty bad, it fronted on to a narrow road with (I’m guessing) quite a lot of late traffic to and from restaurants/hotels. Also, the clock chimes whilst at any other time would be delightfully characterful, striking the hour & every 1/4 in between, was like a bloomin’ alarm clock going off. There not much the YHA can do about external noise...maybe some monitoring of internal noise after, say, midnight would help.

User

Stayed with a GCSE History school group. Staff were fantastic and the food was great. Rooms are basic with some "interesting" beds three concertined together at right angles, a bit like a communal coffin. You can't fault the location right in the heart of London so the pupils could walk to lots of historic locations. The common room area is a bit small with a large group but we used the dinning area. Security was good a pass key needed for each floor and rooms.

User

Really lovely hostel, great location and wonderful staff.

A good selection of books to read and the meals on offer were a good portion and tasty! Only qualm is that it was extremely hot in the washrooms/W.C. as there was no ventilation/air cooling unit.

Overall a pleasant stay at YHA!

User

I went at YHA St Paul’s with my sister during Xmas and it truly was one of the best time I had in London ! The location is great, the staff is very friendly and helpful... I totally recommend it ! Thanks for the wonderful time we had, we could not dream a best place to stay for Christmas ! Cheers !

User

I dropped in on the off chance of a room on Monday night and with my YHA membership got a bed in a 4 person room for £13! The decor is a bit tired, but security is tight with card readers on every door and I took further comfort that rooms were same sex only. Some creaky floorboards which woke me when people walked by in the night; otherwise all I heard from outside was St Paul's chime at 11pm and 7am which I found very pleasant. Staff very friendly. Power sockets built in to the bed with USB plugs and a small light too. Duvet was a bit small for me and pillow thin but I was fortunate to have an empty bunk above me so I borrowed those with no grumbles from the staff in the morning. Sizeable locker which requires padlock. Sink in the room and other facilities down the hall. Will absolutely consider staying again!

User

Great staff, nice location but the breakfast is not free as indicated on the website (for me it was £5,76) and Wi-fi is not working everywhere in the hostel.

User

Great location for London guys on desk are soo friendly & the Chef made us a fabulous banquet last night which went down very well. Kids fell asleep on bus tour though!!!!!

User

A hostel well placed for all the attractions of the South Bank. A pleasant walk across the Millenium Bridge to Tate Modern, The Globe Theatre, The London Eye and much more.

User

A great value hostel in a brilliant location. I was worried that it might be noisy, but the only sound was the cathedral bells. The staff were friendly and helpful. The décor was a bit dated, but if that keeps the price down, I don't mind. The food and drink were good and there are lots of restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. I would be happy to stay there again.

User

Super location, right near St Paul's with easy access to public transport and plenty of cafes and restaurants. Rooms as you expect at a YHA, good breakfast and friendly helpful staff. We will be back again for our next London stay.

User

Good central location, clean bathroom, warm comfy bed, friendly helpful staff . Agree with other comments that decor is a tad tired, but for the price in this location it’s excellent value. All in all an enjoyable overnight stay. Will probably return with grandchildren later this year. Security is very good so we felt safe in our beds.

User

We were shocked to find that this hostel does not provide a self-catering kitchen, not even a kettle, microwave or crockery to use for take away. When we arrived late in the evening after a long day in London we couldn't cook the ready meals we had purchased to feed the children and instead had to head out again to find the nearest Macdonald's (about a mile away). This incurred additional cost for us, and also meant we had to throw away the food we had bought. We were provided with a free breakfast on the first morning, and offered a move to a hostel with a kitchen, but for this we would have to pay an additional £20. It definitely wasn't obvious from the website that kitchen facilities were not available. We are regular hostellers and have never been to one that didn't at least provide a kettle, microwave and the bare essentials of crockery. The décor is tired. Showers and toilets were clean, but there did seem to be a lot of "I'm not at my best" signs on the doors.

User

Beautiful building, beautiful area. Food access is a bit random though, if there's a group in no one else gets food. There's no self catering.

Breakfast is not until 7.30. You can order packed breakfast in advance. It is never ready. Reception staff shrug their shoulders and blame the kitchen. Kitchen staff blame reception. No one ever does anything.

User

"Welcomes under 3s"... But nowhere near suitable. Even if I wasn't pregnant too I'd never have managed these stairs with a pushchair alone. And I'm dreading breakfast in the morning as most of the table are really high. Wish me luck!
