Off on a wintery walk on the Downs today? Why not plan to finish up in our lovely Courtyard Cafe with a mince pie or some mulled apple juice? We're open from 10 until 4.

YHA South Downs, as you'd expect, is ideally situated for accessing some great walks and mountain biking on the South Downs Way. The coffee shop is great and we've stopped lots of times for coffee and cake :-) the staff are friendly too and I'd recommend it to any body who is looking to explore the area and wants somewhere clean, convenient and welcoming to stay.

What a lovely place. We stayed in one of the pods, kids thought they were great fun. Friendly staff, couldn't do enough for you.......best of all the price. Amazing value.

We had a brilliant night in one of the bell tents. We loved it! All the facilities at the youth hostel were great, the cafe served delicious food and all the staff was incredibly helpful. We'll definitely be back! Thanks 😊⛺️

Thank you for a fantastic weekend. My son has now declared Beachy Head 'our' camping pod. Lovely atmosphere, tasty breakfast and a wild rabbit at bedtime, just perfect!

It's the perfect café stop when cycling out of Brighton, as well as a fabulous place to stay with friends for an outdoorsy weekend.

Have only visited on walks not stayed yet but very impressed each time I have come. Loved the garden party came to support as long standing member and your work for children..

Es exelente, las chicas de recepción son muy educadas y respetuosas a pesar de hablar mal en inglés , se esforzaron por ayudarme y entenderme!! Me encantó el sitio , la comida y la hospitalidad. . Y encima no tenia el cambio suficiente de moneda nacional y ella se molesto para buscarme un sitio donde me cambiasen. .. sin palabra .. 10 puntos!!

Came yesterday and we'll worth it. We love the pods! We will be coming back

Lovely and clean, food and especially breakfast excellent, friendly helpful staff - on the negative side, we were upstairs in the Granary which was too hot to sleep (but weather-related), the room blinds were stuck, the noise from the A26 was constant almost all night, and the bathroom had a pool of water possibly from a leak under it and there was nothing to mop with. Would definitely come back but would want a room further from the road!

A meditation weekend provided a slight challenge as the room allocated for our meeting was noisy due to the road. Six women sharing 3 bunks could have been a nightmare bit we managed well. The bedside lights have apace on top to play your phone while you plug it in in the socket just below and hey don't disturb the others...small things make a difference. this was a catered evened with breakfast and evening meal supplied. well done to the catering staff. Clean, basic accommodation in a great location
