Today 10 years ago, after 2 years of study I graduated as children’s yoga teachers with the wonderful yoga mama Marsha Wenig. Blessed to have been guided by one of the greatest teachers in this field. Could never have dreamed on that day where this journey would lead me. That vision board certainly manifested in a beautiful way and YogaBeez Children's Yoga was born. I’ve met so many incredible children, young people, teachers and friends on this path! On day 1 of the YogaBeez Children's Yoga training we had 14 names, 14 movements ... great for memory and a good workout too! See if you can incorporate yoga poses into this for full vinyasa flow. After leading their first YogaBeez Children's Yoga classes at Yogarise Peckham today, I encouraged all these awesome new teachers to treat themselves to a well deserved dose of Vitamin P (pleasure) ... so of course I needed one too! And sometimes the simple things in life are the greatest pleasures!!! Tonight I’m thoroughly enjoying a plate of steamed greens with lemon and tamari. A glass of crisp white, a dose of Netflix and a soak in lavender oil bath. Having taught dance for 20 years, I wanted to learn more about teaching children yoga so that I could share my love for it with the kids.

I came on the course expecting to pick up some tips... I left having had a life changing experience, not only did Bryony provide an invaluable source of knowledge and expertise with her experience and highly developed training manual, examples, anecdotes and guidance, but she did something that I was not expecting at all! It has totally blown me away!

She nurtured me! I arrived, without focus, thinking it would be a nice thing to do, not really sure how it would happen...when I left, I left with the confidence, (instilled in me by Bryony) to walk through the doors that have opened up for me since and there have been so many doors!

I’ve set up my own teens class in the yoga studio in town, I’ve been approached by the head of PE at the 2nd biggest secondary school in town to go in & do workshops with a view to teaching yoga as part of the PE curriculum next year, I’ve done workshops at two other schools, I’m being interviewed by a lady that runs a health & well being page on Facebook and tomorrow morning I’ve been asked to do a radio interview for BBC radio Berkshire about how Yoga & Mindfulness can help kids in the thick of the ‘exam season’ at school.

I will be eternally grateful to Bryony for guiding me through the first part of my journey.
