Yogi Foodie Fitty - Victoria Adams Description

I am a yoga teacher, nutritionist & training health coach. My journey began as the girl who faked parents' letters to get out of sports and only ate breaded chicken, jacket potatoes and cheese. Now I am a yoga teacher, trained raw food and vegan chef who doesn't shy away from adding meat on the side. It's all about moderation and no one size fits all. I use a blend of yoga, nutrition and /or personal training advice to coach my clients to become the best version of themselves that they have wanted to see in the mirror for a long time.

... 200g almonds (skin-off) 6 Tbsps maple syrup 3 Tbsps orange blossom water 1 Tbsp Matcha powder @omgmatchatea Rose petals . .
1. Blitz almonds in a food processor until a crumble forms. 2. Add all other ingredients (except rose petals) and blitz until a dough forms. 3. Roll into small balls. 4. Scatter petals onto a board and gently roll balls in to coat.

Base ingredients:... 150g Medjool dates, pitted and soaked 15 mins in warm water 75g macadamia nuts 25g Brazil nuts 2 tbsp OMGTea Matcha @omgmatchatea 1 Tbsp Orange blossom water pinch sea salt. .
Cheesecake filling: 150ml coconut oil, melted 150ml lime juice 320g cashews, soaked 4 hours in water 25g xylitol . .
1. Blitz dates in food processor until a smooth paste forms, then add remaining ingredients and pulse until a dough forms. You might need to scrape down the sides from time to time. 2. Like a cake tin or silicone mould with cling film, and line base with filling. Press dough firmly. 3. Add coconut oil, xylitol, lime juice and cashews to a high-speed blender and blitz until smooth. 4. Transfer cheesecake filling into cake tin and smooth over with palette knife, if necessary. 5. Place in fridge or freezer to set. 6. Serve with a dusting of Matcha powder or rose petals if you wish. .

You’re only as trapped as you allow yourself to perceive the chains that bind you. Really. .
.
... When you are free it is not known by a feeling, crossing a certain milestone or being awarded with some sort of recognition that you have moved past those things which had bound and tormented you. When you are free, there is no expectation of how it should be or not be. There is no box to tick, or untick. No possessions to discard. No friends to lose, or to gain.
You don’t have to quit your job.
You don’t need to wait to be happy, to be free.
You don’t need to stop shaving your armpits or burn your bra, to be free.
You might want to lighten up a little, to be free. To let those things which stir you, sadden you, enrage you, perhaps slide.
To be free there is nothing to control nor can you be controlled.. or uncontrolled. It simply Is. No “happy”, no “sad”, no sense of “too hot”, “too cold”, “too poor” or “too rich”. Freedom isn’t found in the acceptance of whatever shape life has taken. It is beyond “acceptance”, beyond judgement or expectations. It’s something more like Being in your Body, whenever, wherever, in whatever form it may be, and knowing as your breathe in that you are alive, and that in it you are Living.
It’s pretty easy to freeze or go into lockdown mode because we feel trapped or somehow restricted. These trappings can be physical or of the mind, or even of how the mind imagines physical trappings to be. You’re only as trapped as you allow yourself to perceive the chains that bind you. Really. . . Really.

SURRENDER
@dailyom When we are carrying the burden of our unprocessed pain, sooner or later it will inconvenience us.
... Many of us are going through our lives aware of a well of pain underlying our every thought or step, that we've felt for so long we aren't even sure where it comes from. It almost seems as if it's part of who we are, or the way we see the world, but it's important to realize that this pain is something that needs to be acknowledged and processed.
The longer we sit with or carry it, the harder it is to work through, and the more likely it is that we will be forced to acknowledge it as it makes itself known to us in ways we can't predict. Rather than waiting for this to happen, we can identify the pain and take action toward healing it. Let it go, rather than carry it with us til the end of our days.
The thought of this might bring up feelings of resistance, especially if, on the surface, our lives seem to be “just fine”. It's difficult to dig up the past and go into it unless we are being seriously inconvenienced by the hurt. The thing is, when we are carrying the burden of unprocessed pain, sooner or later, it will inconvenience us. If we can be brave and proactive, we can save ourselves a lot of future suffering and free up the energy that is tied up in keeping the pain down.
