Meet our newest addition to the Reptile House, a rescued Chinese giant salamander nicknamed Professor Lew.
ZSL's experts worked with Border Force to confirm the identify of the Critically Endangered amphibian and offered the youngster a new home.
Chinese giant salamanders may not be everyone’s idea of beautiful, but Professor Lew’s crinkly purple tail and slimy smile have already made the newcomer a big hit!
