1St Sawston Brigades

Last night the Explorer and Jujuor girls thought what would happen if instead of currency we used “God money” from the Bank of God. We explored what the value of each note would be and came up with some great suggestions for acts of kindness for each money note. Eg “this note is worth a cup of tea”, “the person holding this note can give shelter to a stranger”, the most expensive note gave eternal love! What deep thinkers we have in our group!

Tidying bedrooms was the top task needing perseverance in our discussion.

1st Sawston Brigades are deeply saddened to learn of the death of our former BB Captain, Chris Sales. Chris dedicated many years to Brigades, and served as our Captain between 2001-2009. He championed the inclusion of our young people and their families within the wider Church family and always strived to ensure Brigades was an inclusive environment for the children and young people of Sawston. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness and compassion. ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.’ Psalm 32 vs. 8
Chris’s funeral is taking place tomorrow, Friday 18th January, 11am at Sawston Free Church.

We meet every Tuesday during term time for food, music, creative crafts, intelligent and challenging discussions, and more energetic fun than you can imagine!

The first Brigades session of 2019 is on Tuesday! (Junior sections at 6.15, Seniors at 7.15) We look forward to seeing everyone.
