We loved it. It was so Christmassy, and the staff were lovely with our boys. Food was perfect too

We had a family dinner here , nine adults and two young children. Some of our party were visiting from South Africa. The staff were wonderful and attentive, friendly and catered for our two year granddaughter. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meal and were impressed with the menu and the value for money. This is our third visit to this restaurant , there is always a lovely atmosphere. We will be returning again soon.

This is my favourite restaurant. I come here all the time. The food is always lovely. I have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and the ambiance great. In the hot weather it is lovely to sit outside in the courtyard and have a meal or just to call in for a drink. You feel that you are on holiday abroad.

Popped in today for lunch. A Sea Bream starter and a rump steak with Parmesan for £11.95!? What a price! And as you’d expect from an established non chain restaurant.. amazing quality and service in a beautiful dining area. Will definitely return one evening.

My mum and I had Sunday lunch yesterday to celebrate her Birthday, I can honestly say it was the best Sunday Roast I have had in a very long time, delicious.

Just been for mothers day. Absalutly lovely and lovely food. It was really busy but an amazing atmosphere especially with all the twinkly lights. Had a lovely time and all the staff are so attentive and lovely

Had my Mum’s 70th birthday here and it was great. Great Italian food with a Sardinian twist and we were wonderfully looked after. Highly recommended and one of the best restaurants Tyne and Wear.

Food was amazing. The staff were very attentive and service was very quick. The dining area was a bit hot and could have done with some fresh air but besides that I was very impressed and would definitely be visiting again! One of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten in.

Fantastic meal and service on Saturday. We used the function room for my husband’s 40th and had an excellent afternoon. Thank you �

Best pizza in town I have been several times and the food has been excellent service was friendly but efficient very authentic italian and that's hard to find these days with so many so called italian restaurants now they have a great happy hour menu £6.95 12-7pm get yourselves there you won't be disappointed

Been here a number of times now and never disappointed. Whether it’s a quick bite to eat before heading into town or a few hours relaxing over a lovely meal I rarely consider anywhere else. Love the food, love the staff, love the atmosphere. Always a friendly welcome and never feel pressured to rush my food. Try it, you won’t be disappointed

As always, fabulous staff and delicious food. Seafood risotto is the best ever and I’ve tried other places but nothing comes close to Adriano’s.

10 of us popped in today 8 adults 2 babies, Service was A1 food was A1plus !! Every meal we ordered was superb, staff are friendly and very helpful always a smile and nothing to much for them. We all highly recommend xx Thank You for a very pleasant afternoon we will be calling back soon !!

Went here for a birthday meal arrived at 6.00 but was closed due to a wedding asked to return at 6.30. Which we did but due to the turn around of tables we weren't seated till 6.55. They did honour the happy hour menu. Which was good we shared the tapas menu . were given free bread oil and olives while waiting for our meal. Nice touch. Tapas were lovely squid. Prawns .chicken and cheese and meats great value at £15. House red and white both good. Had a lovely night. Would prefer no 10% service charge to be added to bill. Will go again.

Lovely setting and great staff, my chicken was dry, but this was changed straight away once I had mentioned it too the waiter,

I love the ambience of this place. The staff are very good and pleasant. We had a couple of issues with my sons meal and they apologised and deducted the money off the bill. I had the Hake and it was excelllent. My younger son had a pizza 🍕 it was great and he ate the lot despite the size. That was after the excellent smoked haddock fish cake. Remarkably he had the ice cream for dessert. 13 year old with a big appetite. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

Food is amazing, especially Sunday lunch but have to agree with a lot of the other comments regarding poor service. Allow at least 3 hours to have a three course meal even if the restaurant is not busy!

What is very annoying is the fact that they automatically include a service charge on the bill therefore you feel obliged to pay for a service you have not received.

Just a suggestion: maybe the service would improve if the staff did not automatically get a tip!!

A bit disappointed with my meal this time round, the chicken was dry and not as tasty as previous times. Waited a long time for the meal but it was busy! Staff are friendly!

Lovely building and ambience...food not so great..waited ages for a pizza which bent my fork trying to cut...would go back but for setting rather than food.

Gorgeous venue and mildly charming staff. service was so slow unless you clearly looked like you were bleeding money and were likely to tip it seemed. People who arrived after we did got their drinks and starters. My little one got restless as.it took about 2o mins to order and 45 minutes in total to get our food. So I took her pottering about and it seemed as though that was frowned upon despite it being extremely quiet.

Food was good, speed of service was not.

It was my birthday yesterday and thought we would have a little treat. My meal was nice but my partner ordered his steak medium and was presented with it well done. He had sticky ribs and there was little meat on them. The service wasn't great. Nobody came to ask if the meal was ok as we would have mentioned the steak. We don't like to complain so he ate it as there wasn't really a lot of staff to speak to. The place itself is lovely and gives you the impression that the food will be special. We were disappointed 😔

I was very disappointed with my visit today, I had bought a voucher from itison as had heard good reports about the restaurant. However it was felt like we were treat differently because we had a voucher, we weren't given menus and told all extras needed to be paid for, we had to ask if we could order starters. We weren't asked how we would like our steaks cooked so we asked if we could have them rare, when they arrived they were all cooked through this is due to them being so thin there's no other way they could have been cooked! The starters were nice but steaks and service were very disappointing! I thought the whole point in advertising vouchers is to create new returning custom however we won't be returning in a hurry!

Food was nice enough but service terrible. Had to wait a long time in between courses and had to ask several times for drinks. A bit chaotic, not attentive. Quite a poor experience.

Booked a meal with a friend for Good Friday. Didn’t disappoint! The food was authentic and delicious and we enjoyed every mouthful! The service was exceptional and the experience was one we will repeat and recommend. Lovely

Sorry, gorgeous setting but horrible service despite asking, asking and asking. I would have loved to have had a fantastic experience but I had to walk and that is not me. Please improve as I doo want the restaurant to be brilliant.

Not impressed with this restaurant at all. Soup was cold, ravioli pasta was hard, chips were overcooked, plus they add a 10% service charge. Won't be visiting here again.

My mother and I visited this restaurant on a Friday night. After waiting a total of two hours and asking twice the staff brought ur a very under-cooked pizza and a sub-standard risotto. As if this wasn't bad enough, the waiter (a gentleman called carl) was extremely rude and wouldn't listen to any complaint given, the worst manager I've ever come across. Please don't even be temped to go to this place as it completely ruined our night.

Although the staff were lovely, the food was not. The Bruschetta had been well chilled, and my main Arabiatta with penne was cold. Very over priced for such poor food.

My mum and I had Sunday lunch yesterday to celebrate her Birthday, I can honestly say it was the best Sunday Roast I have had in a very long time, delicious.

Just been for mothers day. Absalutly lovely and lovely food. It was really busy but an amazing atmosphere especially with all the twinkly lights. Had a lovely time and all the staff are so attentive and lovely

Had my Mum’s 70th birthday here and it was great. Great Italian food with a Sardinian twist and we were wonderfully looked after. Highly recommended and one of the best restaurants Tyne and Wear.

Food was amazing. The staff were very attentive and service was very quick. The dining area was a bit hot and could have done with some fresh air but besides that I was very impressed and would definitely be visiting again! One of the best Italian restaurants I have eaten in.

Best pizza in town I have been several times and the food has been excellent service was friendly but efficient very authentic italian and that's hard to find these days with so many so called italian restaurants now they have a great happy hour menu £6.95 12-7pm get yourselves there you won't be disappointed

Been here a number of times now and never disappointed. Whether it’s a quick bite to eat before heading into town or a few hours relaxing over a lovely meal I rarely consider anywhere else. Love the food, love the staff, love the atmosphere. Always a friendly welcome and never feel pressured to rush my food. Try it, you won’t be disappointed

As always, fabulous staff and delicious food. Seafood risotto is the best ever and I’ve tried other places but nothing comes close to Adriano’s.

10 of us popped in today 8 adults 2 babies, Service was A1 food was A1plus !! Every meal we ordered was superb, staff are friendly and very helpful always a smile and nothing to much for them. We all highly recommend xx Thank You for a very pleasant afternoon we will be calling back soon !!

Went here for a birthday meal arrived at 6.00 but was closed due to a wedding asked to return at 6.30. Which we did but due to the turn around of tables we weren't seated till 6.55. They did honour the happy hour menu. Which was good we shared the tapas menu . were given free bread oil and olives while waiting for our meal. Nice touch. Tapas were lovely squid. Prawns .chicken and cheese and meats great value at £15. House red and white both good. Had a lovely night. Would prefer no 10% service charge to be added to bill. Will go again.

I love the ambience of this place. The staff are very good and pleasant. We had a couple of issues with my sons meal and they apologised and deducted the money off the bill. I had the Hake and it was excelllent. My younger son had a pizza 🍕 it was great and he ate the lot despite the size. That was after the excellent smoked haddock fish cake. Remarkably he had the ice cream for dessert. 13 year old with a big appetite. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

Great food and service will go again

Food is amazing, especially Sunday lunch but have to agree with a lot of the other comments regarding poor service. Allow at least 3 hours to have a three course meal even if the restaurant is not busy!

What is very annoying is the fact that they automatically include a service charge on the bill therefore you feel obliged to pay for a service you have not received.

Just a suggestion: maybe the service would improve if the staff did not automatically get a tip!!

A bit disappointed with my meal this time round, the chicken was dry and not as tasty as previous times. Waited a long time for the meal but it was busy! Staff are friendly!

Lovely building and ambience...food not so great..waited ages for a pizza which bent my fork trying to cut...would go back but for setting rather than food.

Gorgeous venue and mildly charming staff. service was so slow unless you clearly looked like you were bleeding money and were likely to tip it seemed. People who arrived after we did got their drinks and starters. My little one got restless as.it took about 2o mins to order and 45 minutes in total to get our food. So I took her pottering about and it seemed as though that was frowned upon despite it being extremely quiet.

Food was good, speed of service was not.

It was my birthday yesterday and thought we would have a little treat. My meal was nice but my partner ordered his steak medium and was presented with it well done. He had sticky ribs and there was little meat on them. The service wasn't great. Nobody came to ask if the meal was ok as we would have mentioned the steak. We don't like to complain so he ate it as there wasn't really a lot of staff to speak to. The place itself is lovely and gives you the impression that the food will be special. We were disappointed 😔

I was very disappointed with my visit today, I had bought a voucher from itison as had heard good reports about the restaurant. However it was felt like we were treat differently because we had a voucher, we weren't given menus and told all extras needed to be paid for, we had to ask if we could order starters. We weren't asked how we would like our steaks cooked so we asked if we could have them rare, when they arrived they were all cooked through this is due to them being so thin there's no other way they could have been cooked! The starters were nice but steaks and service were very disappointing! I thought the whole point in advertising vouchers is to create new returning custom however we won't be returning in a hurry!

Food was nice enough but service terrible. Had to wait a long time in between courses and had to ask several times for drinks. A bit chaotic, not attentive. Quite a poor experience.

Booked a meal with a friend for Good Friday. Didn’t disappoint! The food was authentic and delicious and we enjoyed every mouthful! The service was exceptional and the experience was one we will repeat and recommend. Lovely

Sorry, gorgeous setting but horrible service despite asking, asking and asking. I would have loved to have had a fantastic experience but I had to walk and that is not me. Please improve as I doo want the restaurant to be brilliant.

Not impressed with this restaurant at all. Soup was cold, ravioli pasta was hard, chips were overcooked, plus they add a 10% service charge. Won't be visiting here again.

My mother and I visited this restaurant on a Friday night. After waiting a total of two hours and asking twice the staff brought ur a very under-cooked pizza and a sub-standard risotto. As if this wasn't bad enough, the waiter (a gentleman called carl) was extremely rude and wouldn't listen to any complaint given, the worst manager I've ever come across. Please don't even be temped to go to this place as it completely ruined our night.

Although the staff were lovely, the food was not. The Bruschetta had been well chilled, and my main Arabiatta with penne was cold. Very over priced for such poor food.
