Wow came here on a recommendation from a few people, it did not disappoint, very friendly staff and made very welcome from the start. Very extensive menu and lots to choose from.

We ordered a few starters and two main courses from the main menu. Was delicious and never felt rushed.

Highly recommend and would be back, a lovely treat 5*

What an amazing meal! We each had the seafood guvec washed down with fabulous turkish delight gin and hibiscus tonic. The staff were absolutely fantastic, efficient, knowledgeable and so welcoming. We live in Newcastle but, we will definitely be making the effort to go back, best meal we’ve had in a long time.

What a fantastic way to spend our anniversary! Fantastic food, you couldn't wish for anything more! Thank you Cengiz and staff for squeezing us in last minute and giving us simply the best meal we have had in a long time!!

We were visiting Durham and looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening. We happened on Akarsu by chance and my goodness we are so glad we did. An lovely welcome, friendly staff and excellent customer service. The meal was amazing; the cold meze to share was a delight and our main meals surpassed the starter �and what we couldn't finish was packed up as a carry out for us! Can highly recommend - just a shame we live too far away for regular visits!

We had planned to come last week for my birthday but I spent my birthday unwell in bed. We came to eat today instead and ate from the lunch time special menu. Everything I tried was absolutely beautiful. Lovely fresh food, cooked from scratch. Really big, well presented portions. Friendly staff and I never felt rushed. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and we will be back again very soon. Thank you for a lovely experience xx

Following recommendations I booked for a party of 10 in December, and have to say everyone of the party was very impressed. Food was delicious, generous portion size and exceptional service from extremely friendly staff. My next booking was for a party of 16 on Friday 29 December and again every one was delighted with the food. Bethany ensured our party were well looked after. Service was quick, food delicious and plentiful.. Staff very friendly and attentive without being in your face. Nothing was a bother to them. Highly recommend this restaurant. Most certainly will be visiting again.
