Catton Fair - on the green from 1pm, tomorrow, Saturday 22 June. Bunting, plants, cakes, books, 'family dog' comp... lovely
The beech circle feels such a great place
June, and the bees are buzzing everywhere on the flowerbeds. I had to shake them off the posy I gathered for 4* Station House Self Catering to make it cheerful for the visitors arriving tomorrow.
Well done Neil, the museum on national TV!
I like this sunny picture of our last sales caravan, the Swift Biarritz RL, with patio doors onto the wraparound deck. (In the background you can also see the newly modernised vacant pitch where you can choose your perfect caravan at local dealers https://www.idealcaravans.co.uk/new-holid ay-homes.asp)
After the rain on Saturday, it is nice to see some blue sky
Get out and enjoy the North Pennines scenery (photo in upper Weardale)
A gate to great holidays. Just one caravan left for sale at Allendale Caravan Park (and one pitch for your choice of new caravan)
Interesting viewing at Hexham Farmers' Market tomorrow
Suckers like mad where you don't want it to, aggressively thorny, flowers don't last long ..... but the delicate flowers on this rose are beautiful for its few days of glory and the smell is fabulous
Have a word with the neighbours when you go for a walk in the Allen Valleys
Mike cutting a channel across the park road for 1 Gb/s broadband. A group of volunteers including one caravan owner dug across the Catton end of the park at the weekend, part of the core network route between Allen Mill and Catton. Thank you to all.
The Allendale rec ground with a few hawthorns - so ordinary - but look at the red hawthorn flowers. Because the flowers are fluffy and double, it is a cultivated variety and not the native red hawthorn, the Glastonbury thorn (with the story about the red coming from blood from the crown of thorns), but isn't it striking.
After blue skies all week, it's rainy this morning. Our latest blog post is '10 things to do in Allendale if it is rainy' https://www.allendale-holidays.co.uk/inde x.php/blog
Discussing how to get 1 Gb/s broadband onto Allendale Caravan Park and Station House Self Catering (Mike Robinson from Broadband 4 the Allen Valleys, B4AV, and Mike Woodhouse
This sounds interesting
The seat.... and the view from the seat. Half a mile from the park on a lovely walk. Come to view our two new holiday caravans
