Wow I'm blown away with the food here. It truly is the best and authentic Italian food. I'm not talking street food but real good cooking. Our server who was daughter of owner just gorgeous and owner so lovely and staff who worked behind the scenes. Thank you so much x

Won the Facebook competition for a £40 voucher. So visited Angelos's at East Rainton tonight with my mam and niece. We got bread with lemon and dill butter. For starters we got, breaded mozzarella, aubergine bake and meatballs. Mains, tagliatelle, muscles with tomatoes and chicken with rosemary and tomato sauce with roast potatoes and for dessert we shared a melt in the middle chocolate cake dessert. Food was absolutely beautiful. You can get the the happy hour special till 6.45 for £8.95 for two courses. Totally worth the money can't believe it for the quality of food. Staff were so friendly and helpful, even though it was busy the service was exceptional and had a great atmosphere. We cannot wait to return and try the other things on the menu!

We went for an early evening meal on a Friday, pleasantly surprised by a special menu comprising of a starter and main for £8.50. Canapes and home made bread while we were waiting for the food, and as for the meal absolutely gorgeous. I cannot recommend this place enough. Staff are fantastic and we will definitely be coming again.

We have been visiting here for a few months now. The staff are absolutely amazing, great attention to detail and sooooo attentive. Food is fabulous, never, ever had a bad visit.



We would recomend this restaraunt and their staff to anyone.



We've even booked our Xmas dinner there, thats a 1st.

This is not your average Italian here, food is something special , Leek and walnut risotto was absolutely delicious. Staff are really attentive and even the chef comes out to ask how food was. No canapes tonight but a lovely lemoncello while we waited for our taxi. It's touches like this that make it so special.

Just love Angelos the whole experience from the minute you walk in to leaving is warm welcoming and friendly but not intrusive into your evening. The food is fantastic I try to eat there as often as I can the menu is fabulous and very affordable as is the wine. It is such a bonus to have such a brilliant restaurant so close to home see you soon Lynda

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Complimentary canapes, which are always beautiful. The menu is very authentic with choices not normally found on your average Italian menu. Pasta and dough for pizzas are hand made, not mass produced like some other local Italian restaurants. Service and staff are very attentive without being overbearing. This place is an absolute gem and has now become our fave Italians!

They were beyond exceptional with my baby girl when we last visited and my dad said the starter was the best starter he had ever had and he's 69 years old - he's had plenty of starters! I can't wait to come back I think it's my new favourite place! 10/10 for everything

I had the soup starter which to be honest was a bit bland, wife had the bruschetta which was very tasty! for mains I had pasta sorry can't remember the name of it but it was very very nice it was made with truffle oil and mushrooms, wife had lasagne which also was very nice we also had a garlic and tomato bread which was a little crispy and over done but still very edible. Would definitely go back!
