Apacs new recruits Shin Baek Cheol and Ko Sung Hyun have had a great start to their Apacs sponsorship contract. They won the 2018 Vietnam Open Men’s Doubles title in August, then reached the final of the 2018 Macau Open a week ago. Number three seed Lee Hyun II reached tomorrow's semi-final after a 14-21 21-15 22-20 victory over China's LU Guangzu. He will face Thailand's unseeded Sitthikom Thammsin in the semi-final. A great performance from Alex Green in the BWF Under 19 Dubai Junior International Series event. Alex won the mixed doubles and was a semi finalist in the boys doubles despite being three years younger than most of the players. Ko Sung Hyun and Shin Baek Cheol got their Apacs sponsorship off to a fantastic start by winnning the 2018 Vietnam Open Men's Doubles title on 12 August 2018. The Korean pair came through the qualifying rounds, then beat two seeded pairs on their way to the final. They beat Lee Sheng Mu and Yang Po-Hsuan of Chinese Taipei 22-20 and 21-18 in a 33 minute final.
