Our aim is to provide the most cutting edge training and nutrition programs to you and to help you feel more confident, happy and reach your goals.

We offer 1-2-1 personal training sessions, Semi Private personal training sessions and Online coaching.
Our ethos is to deliver science and evidence based information and protocols so you are receiving the best support and guidance.

Despite how 'nerdy' we are with training and nutrition we dont take ourselves to serious. That is why AHF may not be everyone.
We have a laugh, Sing and even dance around the disco ball (yes our gym has a disco ball! )
We are the place where people come when they feel they dont fit at the local gym or dont feel confident enough.
We bring out the best in you and anything goes here. . . . . . . . . . . Ridiculous humans - Awesome results.

What have our members been winning at this week so far?
We have the formidable Miss D losing 7.8lbs in 4 weeks! And still pulling out 90kg deadlifts!!
... We have the S man Mr W hitting a bench PB of 95kg and a back squat of 100kg! He’s only been with us since the summer! And Mr W is toning up week by week with his clothes fitting so much better.
We have Mrs O’Neil smashing out a 70kg back squat with incredible form and can now deadlift 80kg for reps! And Mrs O has lost weight each week.
We have Mr W who can deadlift 150kg for reps and is closing in on his squat Pb of 180kg but he also holds the assault bike record of 50 calories in 44 seconds!!!!!!!!’ Anyone think they can beat that??
We have the delicious Mrs D getting stronger with an 85kg deadlift. But the biggest win for Mrs D is, she wasn’t able to do a step up due to a leg and hip injury on her left side. Last night she absolutely smashed 4 sets of step ups with no assistance! This is a HUGE win for her and I’m so chuffed. And week by week she is losing body fat with clothes fitting better.
Miss R killing push press and Olympic lifts. Going from pressing 25kg to lifting 42.5kg in the space of 2 months!! Incredible!
Mrs W hitting a 52.5kg bench and a massive 80kg squat!! From starting in August with a sore knee to now pulling out those numbers is amazing! And she’s consistently lost weight each week.
This is just a tiny portion of what’s been happening just this week.... And it’s only Wednesday!
One thing our members know and do is show up and show up consistently.
The gym performance shows another level of progress. Non scale victories.
And the bi product of focusing on what your body can DO not what it LOOKS like.....

YOU NEED TO BE RUTHLESS TO GET RESULTS.
Getting your head in the game takes some tough decisions.
Saying no more often than normal.
... Giving up habits that used to make you feel good at some point.
Resisting urges more.
Putting in more effort to be active.
Using that spare hour of the day to exercise rather than nap or read a book.
It may even resort to changing some household routines with your loved ones, just for now until you get closer to your goal.
But it takes you to be more ruthless.

THE SCIENCE OF FAT LOSS PART 1
7,700.
Thats the amount of caloric deficit you need to be in to lose 1kg of fat.
... *Its lose not loose FYI ;-)
We see so many people too focused on losing 6kg or 10kg or 20kg.
To lose over 4lbs a week thats over 15,000 caloric deficit in a week you need to be in.
If you are dieting or have dieted you will know how f*****g hard that is!
So when the scales tell you 5lbs is gone in a week......
The harsh truth is it wont all be fat.
1lb is probably fat.
The rest will more likely be 'other tissues'
So instead of worrying about getting that 14lbs off
Why not focus on losing that first 1lb.
Then when thats gone, focus on losing the next 1lb.
Any gym or PT that is pushing you to lose lots of weight quickly, probably dont understand the bio chemistry of nutrition and the laws of fat loss.
Yes of course its awesome to lose a few lb's a week.
But would you rather know its fat than just water and tissue loss?
Look at how to lose that 1lb first.

Wow.
Joe really went above and beyond with this one.
... I’m not a fan of THE BODY COACH anyway.
His messages can be disempowering.
Eat more Move less
^^^^^ This is flawed.
What he promotes i can get behind. Healthier lifestyle and being more active. This is great.
However, the information he gives out is wrong.
HIIT does NOT melt fat.
His meals are not always healthy.
I just can’t support someone who doesn’t provide accurate information. As in the long term it doesn’t help.
Then this photo on a story.

What’s wrong with the dad bod?
Or
What is defined a ‘dad bod’??
Many will say it’s a physique that’s a little fluffier. Less muscle definition.
As a coach whose job it is to help people get fitter, healthier and feel good about themselves I will honestly say;
If you’re a dad who can’t stand there with washboard abs and ripped arms, don’t feel ashamed. Having a dad bod doesn’t define who you are or how wonderful a dad you are. Just because you can’t be arsed to do a workout at 9.55pm doesn’t make you any less of a man.
Running around with your children, doing house work and walking lots is being active.
Following a good eating plan and protein based diet with a takeaway and beer now and then is fine. Plus you can still lose weight and build muscle like that.

I contacted Kayleigh in late summer due to her approach to ill health and recovery. Her client list includes others seeking to improve fitness for health reasons, not all the young and beautiful! Despite ongoing, permanent medication I have not felt fitter or better for some years. On the journey so far I've massively improved my (gym) weights, my overall health and have reversed medication (and menopause) induced weight gain. There's much to aim for and a long way to go but with Kayleigh on my side a lot is possible. Started using Kayleigh as I was just not motivated at the gym, doing the same things all the time. Had no idea how to use all the equipment correctly I just dabbled with a few. She has started me on weights and things I never thought I would do which as made a big difference to reaching my target. Her advice and tips are great and a great group for sharing and reading others stories. Motivated and back on it ..... Thanks

Only been hear a couple of month and loving the training, the training and nutrition is tailored to your own personal goals & targets very sustainable and fun highly recommended.......



6 months on I've moved to the semi private classes which has increase my muscle mass, bone density, strength has shot up massively, dropped bmi

One of the best gym around! Nice atmosphere and best equipments. Kayleigh is one of the best coach and nutritionist by far... I have been going to AHF for over a year and the results you get in there is amazing as long as you stick to your plans, trust the system and it will work. Just turn up and get s**t done!!! Haha highly recommended.

Love this group. The training is just what I love to do and always something different to mix it up a little.



Kayleigh is awesome in her knowledge for everything from nutrition to all aspects of gym and training.



I would recommend the groups to anyone who mentions they wanna enjoy train my and not just do the same boring programme everyday.



O and everyone is mint. No big egos in the building everyone is there for their own reason but mainly to get fit and have a laugh on the process.

I'd never 'lifted' till I joined Kayleigh and the team but best decision I'd made in terms of getting fitter!! Every session is different and Kayleigh makes it fun!! I actually enjoy gong to the gym now and seeing results certainly helps. Kayleigh is always there for support whether you're having a good or bad time and I couldn't have got to where I am without her!!

I started training with Kayleigh about a year ago, I had just got into weight lifting and I needed guidance on how to do it properly to build my strength and improve my physique... Booking that first session was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I am now stronger and fitter than I've ever been and I'm proud to say I'm one of the strongest girls in the gym, and stronger than a lot of the guys! I could never have reached this stage without Kayleigh. I am at the point where I'm thinking about competing and I know this is realistic and achievable. Not only is Kayleigh a fantastic coach who can bring out the full potential in every client but she does it while making you laugh, she has become a wonderful friend to me and I couldn't be without her

As an over 50 'discovering' a life long, chronic health issue in 2016 I decided I would like to address my fitness and strength. I contacted Kayleigh in late summer due to her approach to ill health and recovery. Her client list includes others seeking to improve fitness for health reasons, not all the young and beautiful! Despite ongoing, permanent medication I have not felt fitter or better for some years. On the journey so far I've massively improved my (gym) weights, my overall health and have reversed medication (and menopause) induced weight gain. There's much to aim for and a long way to go but with Kayleigh on my side a lot is possible. After having a baby via c-section I was very nervous to get back into training not knowing what I could do but both coaches (Kayleigh and Chris) tailor the workouts to suit my needs and offer advice and guidance and I love the sessions. It's like a little family, everyone is so lovely! �
