I had great fun taking part in a class put on by Chi spennymoor taekwondo academy. I presented them with an Asda Foundation cheque for £300 earlier in the year.

I was delighted to hand over an Asda Foundation cheque for £800 to Coundon and Leeholme Community Centre - Welfare Hall. The money will be used to support the various groups that attend the centre.

A big thank you everyone who helped us raise £640 for Tickled Pink by walking from Orton to Kirby Stephen.
The walk was just under 14 miles through many fields and up many hills! Colleagues from the store who took part with me were Dean Holiday, Alex Saunders, Matt Harbinger, Jenny Brass, Carl Morgan, Laura Hodgson and Christina Westgarth.

Byers Green Football Club Under 11s will look super smart next season in their new kit thanks to a grant from Asda.
Asda Spennymoor's community champion Donna was delighted to present them with a cheque for £1,000 from the Asda Foundation on behalf of everyone at the store. Good luck for next season!

Cleves Cross primary and junior School are running a variety of holiday clubs over the summer to keep the children active and entertained – and a donation from the Asda Foundation means they can provide healthy lunches too.
Donna, the community champion at our Spennymoor store, popped into school before the end of term to present a cheque for £417 from our Healthy Holidays fund. Head teacher Alison Lazenby said: "The option to provide lunch makes it easier for parents who need childcare. We're delighted to work with Asda to be able to provide some healthy lunches for the children."

Our Spennymoor store's community champion Donna popped in to see residents from Hirst Court and give them a £575 grant from the Asda Foundation.
Donna volunteers at the lunch club which meets fortnightly at the community centre and the money will be used to fund new equipment for the group including hot plates to deliver hot meals to elderly or disabled residents who can't attend. Carer and Hirst Court resident Alan founded the lunch club and cooks all the meals for up to 40 residents at a time. Read more: http://bit.ly/2L49M3q
